Fieldstone Homes names new sales and marketing director -- Fieldstone Homes, which is building entry- to mid-level homes in the greater Salt Lake City area, appointed Vaughn Wihongi as its director of sales and marketing.
Prior to joining Fieldstone, Wihongi was the vice president of sales for Quadrant Homes in Seattle. He served for eight years with the company in various positions including sales manager, director of sales, assistant vice president of sales and sales vice president.
A native of New Zealand, Vaughn graduated from BYU with a bachelor's in business management and finance.

Bank sponsors "business survival" seminar -- Bank of American Fork is sponsoring a seminar on "How to survive and thrive in a down economy" on Nov. 19. Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Speakers include Ken S. Foster, principal of Foster and Associates, and professor of communications, University of Utah; Richard T. Beard, CEO of Bank of American Fork and Lee S. McCullough II, chairman of the board, Callister Nebeker and McCullough. They will present ideas that individuals and businesses can use to make gains in an environment when others are cutting back.
Foster will provide ideas on how to gain market share by advertising aggressively in a down market, while Beard will analyze how Bank of American Fork's business philosophy has helped it survive and thrive for almost 100 years. McCullough II, will discuss how to transfer money to a trust with little or no tax consequences.
