• The Utah Chapters for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors will release the Utah County Municipal Development Report Card, which scores the processes and costs associated with the building and development of commercial real estate projects in cities within Utah County. The event is for NAIOP and SIOR members, municipal representatives, and Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business Field Study students and professors. The report gives developers information on the costs, timeframe and process necessary to build an office or industrial building in Utah County. • The Utah Technology Council will host an annual members meeting featuring keynote speaker Meg Whitman, president and CEO of eBay. Whitman will share business strategy insights with Utah business and community leaders. The council will also be honoring the 2007 Executives of the Year: CEO, CTO, HR, Emerging Executive, Sales, Trustee and Legislator. Whitman joined eBay as President and CEO in March 1998 when the company was still a small auction website with 30 employees and revenue of $4 million. Since that time, she has been instrumental in helping this Internet pioneer evolve into an unparalleled global e-commerce engine that continues to influence and reshape the way people trade, pay and communicate throughout the world. Meg Whitman is one of only seven women to have been repeatedly ranked among the world's most influential people by Time magazine. Whitman attended Princeton University as an undergraduate where she was a member of the student organization Business Today. She received an MBA from Harvard Business School in the summer of 1979.
