Winger's Grill & Bar opens new restaurant in Murray -- Winger's Grill & Bar, which has 23 company-owned and franchise Winger's Grill restaurants in Utah including five in Utah County, opened a new restaurant at 4790 S. State St. in Murray.
The 4,200-square-foot Murray restaurant is the 37th location nationwide and globally. Winger's USA doing business as Winger's Grill is owned by The Slaymaker Group, a Salt Lake City-based restaurant operator and franchisee for national chains such as Tony Roma's and T.G.I. Friday's. Winger's USA opened the very first Winger's: An American Diner in Bountiful in 1993. The Provo restaurant is owned by Provo-based franchisee Gabriel Heyn. Slaymaker owns four other Winger's Grill restaurants in Orem, American Fork, Lehi and Spanish Fork.
The new restaurant replaces a Conoco gas station. Located at the corner of 4800 S. State St., the restaurant seats 142 people and features big-screen TVs and a high-end sound system.

Strong & Hanni SLC office adds new attorney -- Clifford J. Payne joined the Salt Lake law office of Strong & Hanni. He will be a member of the Construction Law, the Products Liability and the Transportation practice groups. Payne's primary areas of practice include insurance defense, construction defects, product liability, trucking accidents and general civil litigation.
Payne received his B.A. in finance from the University of Utah in 1986. He received his J.D. from Brigham Young University in 1989. He was admitted to the Utah State Bar, the U.S. District Court in 1989, and the Wyoming State Bar in 2007. He is a member of the Utah Defense Lawyers' Association -- where he served as president from 2001-2002 -- the Defense Research Institute and the Salt Lake County Bar.
