Two Utah County Realtors join state group -- Two Utah County Realtors were installed as officers of the Utah Association of Realtors, the group announced Monday.
Lerron Little, a Realtor with Capstone Real Estate in Provo, and Kenny Parcell, a Realtor with RE/MAX Results in Spanish Fork, were appointed president-elect and vice president respectively. Little and Parcell will officially begin their one-year terms in November.
President-elect Little is currently serving as the association's vice president and recently completed a term as president of the Utah County Association of Realtors. He has been a member of the UAR's board of directors since 2004 and has served on a number of committees at the association.
Little is also a current member of the Risk Management Committee of the National Association of Realtors.
Vice president Parcell is president of the Utah County Association of Realtors and was recently appointed to the Executive Committee of the National Association of Realtors.
Other newly-installed UAR officers include: Chris Sloan, a Realtor with Group 1 Real Estate in Tooele, who was appointed president; and Lori Chapman, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Premier in St. George, was named treasurer.

Fitness club opening in Highland next year -- Newport Sports Club, a sports and fitness club, is opening in summer 2009 at the Highland Marketplace located on the northwest corner of State Road 92 and State Road 74 in Highland.
The $14 million fitness center hopes to attract clients from Highland, Alpine, Cedar Hills, Lehi, American Fork and other areas.
The 90,000 square-foot club consists of indoor and outdoor pools, three basketball courts, five volleyball courts, two racquetball courts, training areas for soccer and football, batting cages, spinning, cardio and free weights, yoga, a day spa, child care, student academic center, golf fitness and restaurants and retail shops.
