This thread discusses the Content article: McCain talks with auto workers about economic woesPointing to a sign for the Volt, which is expected to hit the market in 2010, McCain said: "I will do everything in my power that this new experiment, this breakthrough... has every chance of success and that we will make sure that American citizens understand what's happening here."And McSame's next act would be to rubber stamp production in Mexico under NAFTA! No doubt with Orin Hatch and Bob Bennett standing behind him grinning about how they screwed the American worker.

I think you need some different medication in hopes the color of your sky will change back to blue...

All of the jobs and production already outsourced to India and Communist China is just rumor on the street! Click your heels together and go back to sleep.

I've pointed it out to you before with statistics that NAFTA has had a net positive effect. Your anti-trade stance is what will really screw the American worker. The only bright spot in our economy today is our exports. More exports, more jobs. And you want to screw this up, why?

And I've pointed out that the ballooning trade deficit will break the back of our technically bankrupt nation.
China stands accused of flooding foreign markets with dangerous products while Chinese foreign reserves topped $1 trillion, the US dollar value reached all time lows against the euro, crude oil prices topped $80 per barrel, a mortgage credit crisis threatened economic growth around the world, the Doha round multilateral trade liberalization talks stalled, and Brazil initiated a WTO dispute against the US on ethanol subsidies.
Think hard about this. Why do you suppose that Communist China is swimming in cash? Here's a hint...the means of production is local. Throughout history, the nation that maintained a monopoly on trade was the superpower of the day.
Apparently, you see no problem with America being a second or third world nation.

So NAFTA has helped reduce the "imbalance" of trade and you still want to kill it. Makes no sense.
