I wish that everyone who reads this article could really see T and T's sense of humor. I don't think I have ever been around them that they aren't joking with someone if not each other. They are an inspiration to the entire family.

I agree with you. They are an inspiration to all. It also shows the importance of being a donor. Why not save someone else's life when you have finished with yours?

What I really hope is that the state looks at thier disability policy and makes some changes here.

My ex collects SSI for a mental illness but Troy can't get a dime! Ex can drive, and live pretty much a normal life except he HATES being in crowds and they make him very uneasy. Troy has tried many things, including being an insurance agent. His doctor told him he had to quit or it could kill him.

The disablity laws in Utah are really screwed up and need to change. This is part of the reason the family is trying to get media coverage. This story needs to be told and spread around. These kids need help. They have given and given and now need some help.

I agree. Troy not being able to get disability is insane. He WANTS to work but cannot. Has the family been in touch with their Congressman? Someone (a family member perhaps) needs to rattle the chains of the powers that be to have his status changed. This family needs help!

The family has been in touch with their congressman. This has been fought for eight years. It has been to court and Troy still loses. That is the reason for the story to get others active in the fight to get the Utah laws changed. We all need to contact our congressmen and let them know that people like Troy and Teresa are falling through the cracks. Many people who need disabilty cannot get it while others who play the system recieve monthly checks. People who can work, but take the easy way out. Something is really wrong. I see people every day who have burned their brains out on drugs and get disability while people like Troy, who did not do anything to cause his condition, are overlooked. Lets all geat in the fight anc change this.

Just a wild guess, but would that Utah congressman just happen to believe that Americans should share medical resources and disability payments with illegal aliens?
