Now you know what the church believes, you didn't at the start of today. It doens't surprise me you don't believe what the church believes, you and Jaye are two peas in a pod.

But with that post of yours, you once again put the Book of Mormon higher up than the Bible. In fact you pretty much dismissed the Bible right there.

Huh? Where did I dismiss the Bible?

Remember what I told you. If I had not of taken an EXTRA CREDIT, AFTER SCHOOL course in the Book of Mormon, I never would have studied it in Seminary. That tells me all I need to know regardless of what you say.

Well, that doesn't surprise me either, because the Prophets have asked us to study and read the Book of Mormon since the early days of the church. Joseph Smith said it would get you closer to God than any other Book, did you know that? Doubt it.

When your Bible Doctrine class is studying something in the Bible, do you walk out?

No, I love the Bible, I love to read where Joseph has corrected the Bible, and made given back many of the plain and precious parts that were taken out.

Oh for heaven's sake,dubs.. Why do you think I didn't know what the Church believes at the start of today? That's crap. I've know longer than you've been alive what the Church teaches. And, as usual, you've taken my post and butchered it to death.

As far as what Joseph Smith said about getting closer to God with the Book of Mormon than any other book, I respectfully disagree with his saying. I've read both. The Bible brought me closer. In hard times, or when I need help, it's always the Bible the Bible I reach for. And don't you dare take that to mean I never read the Book of Mormon because I do. I simply love to take my Bible out in the backyard under the Walnut tree and read. And now, go ahead and make any other assumptions about me you wish. It bothers me none. I know my beliefs. I know God. And what you think of me doesn't matter.

Here's a little help Kitkat, since you think there the same. smirk.

Cornerstone---
The cornerstone concept is derived from the first stone set in the construction of a masonry foundation, important since all other stones will be set in reference to this stone, thus determining the position of the entire edifice.

Is a good analogy (oops you can't grasp these) for Christ, he was the first, and he determines the position of all else. Just as the definition says.

Keystone---

the wedge-shaped piece at the summit of an arch, regarded as holding the other pieces in place, without it the structure falls. (

Not a peice of the foundation at all. You are wrong.

One is part of the foundation, (cornerstone or Christ) The other is part of a structure that without it would fall apart. (keystone or BofM)without the Book of Mormon and Prophets, we'd be just another Bible thumping church. The church wouldn't exist without the Book of Mormon and Prophets. Just as Joseph said.

The analogy is strong, and why it is used by the Prophet Joseph, course I know you'll still deny this and say "whatever dubbs" LOL

That's enough, dubs. Will you please start acting like the LDS priesthood holder you claim to be?

The BoM is equal only in your mind, Dubbs. You are not going to find any church publication that says otherwise.

If it is the keystone to our religion, I'd say it's pretty equal.

Even the Book of Mormon itself says it "shall grow together, unto the confounding of false doctrines and laying down of contentions, and establishing peace" (2 Nephi 3:12)

Pretty equal in my mind if it clears up contentions the Bible has caused.

But it's NOT the cornerstone of our religion. Christ is!

I said Keystone dar dar. Read, comprehend.

You said cornerstone earlier, and you know it. Besides, there's not much difference between the two if any.

Betz is right. You are a totally arrogant SOB.

And I corrected it, even appolgized for making the error, guess you don't read much.

But in that post I didn't say cornerstone, now did I?

Yes, I read, and I saw it. So what? Keystone? Cornerstone? Technically, not much difference between the two.

There is a difference if you understand that the PRophets have taught that Christ is the Cornerstone, and the Book of Mormon is the Keystone to our religion, and study what those two words significance is. Course why would a LDS lady know this?

Do you even know that the church calls the Book of Mormon the keystone to your religion? They don't say that about the Bible now do they?

The prophets do not define words, dubs. Keystone and cornerstone are both interchangeable with "foundation". Therefore, they ARE pretty much the same. And the Book of Mormon is NOT the foundation of the Church. Like I said earlier, Christ is.

Wow, you are more ignorant than I thought, read the LDS Bible dictonary on the subject Kitkat, and throw in a few words and talks from LDS.org on the subject, you would learn something. They are NOT the same.

It's not my teaching Kitkat, it's the churches. Dont' believe it? Fine, but it is what the LDS church teaches. I know, I know, you don't care. You should care.

Alright. I'm ignorant. Thank you for pointing that out.

Now what about your faults?

LOL. You went to dictionary.com, didn't you? So did I. Scoll down and check out their synonyms. Foundation is listed for each.

By the way, I never said those two words are EXACTLY the same, so knock off the smirk.
