I'm just wondering when is provo going to wake up to their tagging/graffiti problem? The police are more worried about handing out parking tickets and responding to college pranks. Within the past 2-3 months I have seen new graffiti all over town, and in all neighborhoods. Most of this graffiti is gang related as well, reading 13 and written with blue spray paint. For those who aren't up on gangs, 13 represents the Mexican gang Sorenos whose color is blue and number is 13.

I'm originally from California from a town that experienced a large influx of Mexican Immigrants. And along with that influx, came mexican gangs. I can assure you that tagging leads to other things, and if this problem isn't cleaned up, there will be more and more gang activity in this area. You may laugh, and think "yea right, Provo?". But I promise, you will see more and more cases of first thefts and robberies, then domestic disturbances , then large scale fights, then stabbings and then ultimately shootings.

I wish that the daily herald, provo residents, and the provo police would take an active part in keeping this community safe and prevent future problems. I would like to see the Daily Herald do an article on this problem and face the issue at hand. Thanks

Too Late....Provo PD has a program in place. (search Graffiti) The ones they catch are the ones that clean....if they catch. I suggest that they chain one of them to the surface tagged and the others clean around him. The longer they take.... the longer they bake!!

Word. Illegal immigration is the greatest threat to domestic America today. Go to the Provo Towne Center on Friday or Saturday night, it's like walking down the Tijuana strip. I dare say that 75%+ of the tagging/graffiti comes from Mexicans, many who can't even read, write, or speak English. Payson has a similar graffiti problem, and let me tell you, and it's only going to get worse if we don't start enforcing the law get these illegals the hell out of America! Chris "open borders" Cannon and G.W. Bush have sold every Utahn down the river with their poor immigration policies and neglect for the law. You business owning SOB's who hire illegals are just as gulity as the politicians who pander them. Close the southern border, period! Entry into the United States should be limited to the healthy, the educated, and the skilled.

Provo Resident, the basic problem is immigrants from Mexico. Gang are trying to do more cases like thefts and robberies, and then ultimately shooting. Finally it came to a big problem.
