As for the ill conceived adventure into nation building that is Iraq, it's true. Americans are performing heroic acts. However, if this was our goal, I wish we'd have gone to Sudan. As bad as Iraq was, things look worse there. Of course, we were sold quite a bill of lies to get us into this mess in the first place, and what America is currently doing in Iraq has nothing to do with why we went there in the first place. People of all walks, including the Senator, are more than right to find fault in this phenomenal waste of our people and resources. The emperor is buck naked, and it's unsettling how many people refuse to point it out.
Reid is a coward, an embarrassment. He is full of rhetoric. There are ways to "point it out" without demoralizing the military by acting as the leading propaganda tool for the enemy. If we had leaders like Sen. Reid (aka Hanoi Harry) around in WWII, we'd probably be speaking some language other than English today.
Probably be speaking some language other than English? Like what, Spanish? We're losing that war, thanks to your amigos in Washington and Temple Square.
By "amigos in Washington" I assume you are including Reid, correct? What has Congress done to create/strengthen immigration laws? What has Reid done about that? What's his plan?
Hmm, I think he was probably talking about Cannon. The Keeper tends to interject his anti-immigration opinion in any thread he can, and usually it involves Chris Cannon.

This discussion really does belong in this thread. Didn't you know that Chris Cannon owns part of a corporation that uses illegal immigrants to make LDS themed porn in Spanish right here in Utah County? Woops, that's the other thread. I meant that he makes porn for our military featuring illegal immigrants from Mexico and Saudi Arabia. The last feature produced was Operation Iraqi Orgy. No, wait a minute. Is this about how Chris Cannon secretly funnels money from his illegal immigrant smuggling operations to Harry Reids campaign fund? I just can't keep track of Keeper's logic sometimes.

It's America's job in "New World Order" to keep Middle Eastern oil flowing for the good of the world economy.
Everything else being said (freedom for the Iraqi people, fight Al-Qaida, fight terrorism away from home) is secondary and mainly 'feel-good' propaganda.
We'll be there forever (or at least we'll always keep a military presence there).

By Reid stating that the war is lost, he DOES demoralize the troops. Every troop there becomes more of a target by that statement. It encourages our enemy to keep moving forward and trying to kill more of our soldiers.
I have stated this before but a lot of you don't seem to pay any attention because I support our President and I support what we are doing. Well, maybe that is because I believe in my soldier and every other soldier that I have spoken to. THEY believe in the war. THEY believe in what they are doing. THEY believe in the Iraqi people. THEY believe in their Commander in Chief.
Iraq has 13 or more provinces. We only hear about the things that are going on in 3 or 4 of them. The rest of the country is pretty stable with most of the Iraqi people supporting what we are doing.
We ARE doing good things there but these are NOT reported. Only the violence and death is reported.
Chemicals HAVE been found. But, most of you here don't want to believe that.
There are MANY things that have been located that have not been reported by the liberal mainstream media.
As for my opinion of Mr. Reid, I feel that HE should be embarrassed by what he has come to stand for since a lot of it goes against the teachings of the LDS church.
As for the person that wrote this letter, I have one thing to say to them:
DON'T JUDGE THE LDS FAITH BECAUSE OF MR. REID. HE SHOULD BE LOOKED AT AND COMPARED TO WHAT THE LDS FAITH TEACHES.
