Is this the case of the pot calling the kettle black? I mean, wasn't it the Mormons that were also bigoted toward people of the black race because they were 'cursed'??
Maybe someone should point out to Sharpton his bigotry of not allowing women into his Baptist Church Priesthood.
Um, wrz, last I checked, it was the Mormons banning Women from the Priesthood.
Oops holy hypocrisy batman.

Good point! So do Baptists... See LVMike's post above for their current policy.
As for polygamy... Catholics must believe in it... Nuns by the hundreds of thousands are ALL married to Christ.
Okay, that's it! I am now convinced you're crazy WRZ! I've always suspected it but that statement proves it.
You're just too damned serious. Lighten up.

That was never doctrine. The one thing I can say about Elder McConkie is; he admitted he was WRONG.
Sorry, serf, but it has been documented numerous times, not just from McConkie.
That doesn't mean they knew what they were talking about. Personally, I don't like discrimnation, or even a hint of it, of any kind. If the blacks/African-Americans hadn't had the priesthood when I was thinking of joining, I wouldn't have.
And if you're a black/African-American woman would you have joined? Women, including black/African-American women, are ineligible for having Mormon's priesthood conferred.
Slavery was wrong.
Ask about 80 percent of the NBA and the NFL players if slavery was wrong... If they preferred that the US had slavery. Or would they prefer that slavery never existed and they were back home in Darfur or other African hometowns grubbing for food as a daily activity and being killed by the hundreds of thousands?
LOL I'd say you have a point there.

What part of his statement is not true?

You are a religious cultist, Mikey, and WRZ is cultural/ political cultist.
I have forwarded several of your messages to local LDS leaders here, and opine that Brother Jerk (you) is writing heresy and flirting with apostasy.
When I suggested to one of them that you are a cultist (a point from elsewhere in this Forum), he said that could be very well so.
LOL AMAZING! Who takes this guy seriously anyway?

Not me. However, I'm flattered that he publishes my comments to so many others. WREN: If you would like to have those "local leaders" send me a PM, that would be great. Perhaps it's not too late.
