The mayor and city council plan to destroy the west section of Springville's beautiful and historic city park. They want to build a new fire station in the park and move the library, which is already in the park, to where the fire station is currently located.

While change is always difficult, it is at times necessary.  As to the author of this particular letter, perhaps the silent majority have spoken, they just don't agree with you.

I have family members that live in Springville. We visit them quite frequently. One member does go to city counsel meeting as often as possible. Another family member was speaking with one of the people running for this years elections. In this conversation the candidate was asked about this proposal. The candidate denied any knowledge of people not wanting this proposal to go through. He denied knowledge of the little girl going around with a petition.

Now, if I remember correctly, city government representatives are supposed to speak for members of the city. The are NOT supposed to just go and do what they think is best. The citizens of Springville should be allowed to vote on this, not have it shoved down their throats.

Springville has some strange ways of doing things and the city government, police, etc... pick and choose who they will cite for violations and who they won't. They pick and choose who they will listen to and who they won't. If you have money, you have a voice. If you don't have it, you won't be heard.

Springville city officials need to go back to the basics and remeber who they work for. The citizens of Springville.

From all the graffitti showing up all over Springville, it appears this sanctuary city won't have the money to move the firestation as the money will be need to clean up the mexican vandalism.
