Just sent this off to Sen. Orrin Hatch during my lunch break today:

Senator Hatch:

Back in 1913, Pres. Wilson signed legislation that gave away the control, issuance and regulation of our nation's monetary system to private bankers (the Federal Reserve). Our founding fathers said that if that ever happened, this nation would become tributary slaves to the government, which we have. After this transition occurred, the IRS was created and eventually, the individual income tax. Initially, the income tax was meant to be a tax on corporate gains and profits to help fund the war effort at the time in the country, not on personal incomes from labor. Not only that, when the federal government tried to change things to include personal incomes as part of the tax, only 17 states voted to ratify the law, but 36 were required for ratification. The federal government cleverly and fraudulently altered submissions from 19 other states to begin justifying the collection of this tax. Each year, the fed legally collects an average of $350 billion on corporate gains and profits (which is justified in the constitution), but a whopping $2.7 trillion from fraudulent individual income taxes.

Its the biggest financial fraud and scheme ever perpetrated upon a people of a nation! Few people are aware of this and would rather pay their share, not be bothered by the IRS and go back to watching reality TV or playing video games. Most Americans currently live in fear of their government because what happens to people who refuse to pay this illegal tax... the men in black suits and sunglasses show up to collect or haul them off to jail. This is what happens in a police state and sadly, our nation is on the fast track to becoming exactly that. In the DVD "America: Freedom to Fascism", now deceased producer Aaron Russo goes to Washington, DC and interviews IRS employees and even its director to find out once and for all whether or not the individual income tax is legal.

Well, not one person can tell him where in the constitution the government has the right to collect taxes on peoples incomes or where it is stated law. In fact, the IRS director actually refers to it as a voluntary contribution from the people! The IRS is not even a government agency, but rather a private entity enforcing its own pillaging and fleecing of U.S. taxpayers! I'm sure the American public would like hearing that they are voluntarily giving the government their hard-earned money so that they can do with it as they please. It is absolutely incredible how far gone and crooked government is today. As a representative of the state of Utah, I am hoping to persuade you to look into this and doing something about this fraudulent schematic deception and financial rape of the American taxpayers just so a cartel of private bankers can continue to enrich themselves. Thank you.

Keeper is informed, which is more than I can say for a lot of you head in the sand ignoramuses.

He probably receives 10 of these on any given day, all of which he has a secretary promptly delete. There is waste in government, the government is filling inappropriate roles in some cases and taxes are too high, even on the wealthy. Between Federal and state 40% of my income was chopped off the top. It's too much.

That being said though, life is very different now than it was 2 centuries ago. Self sufficiency has given way to specialization which has allowed for rapid progress. The techonology that allows you to respond to this entry exists because enough people were freed up from mundane tasks like growing food and even more complicated ones such as building roads for fast transport between cities. The advances have also doubled your life expectancy.

Which makes better sense to you? Each time you want to get somewhere, you personally are responsible for carving your own path there, or you pay somebody else that takes care of this full time so that you don't have to get out of your car every 5 miles and fill a pot-hole? Which is more efficient? Which choice allows you more free time to pursue things like writing the congressman?
