I am curious to know why we are not using more natural gas in our cars, trucks, busses? I was under the impression natural gas is: 1] lower in cost surely of interest with $100 a barrel oil, 2] much cleaner in fewer carcinogens and nitrogen oxides, 3] less carbon dioxide the greenhouse gas, 4] plentiful, a domestic 100 year supply. I looked in to converting my car to natural gas. They wanted $11k to $18k to do it. The shop owner claimed that most of that cost is directly due to EPA regulations that accomplish nothing. Apparently it was about $3k before the EPA started to help out.

The natural gas powered vehicle I drove in 1993 took my fuel costs from $65/day to about $6/day. One thing I found was that the natuaral gas fired engine did not mesh with the transmission well. It shifted way more than a gasoline configuration woul have. Still, go natural gas. A little engineering will make us rich beyond our wildest dreams. In Alberta.

Last time I was in Canada I was told that Quebec loves Alberta due to the welfare money Alberta provides!
