One could argue it was just as much founded on money and wealth. Where money and land was their god.
Money and land are never gods.
Roughly half came over here for religious reason, and half for monetary or land reasons.
Those who came for money and land also had religion. The two are not mutually exclusive.
Some of those that professed religious basis were doing it for monitory and power reasons, they knew it was in vogue. Some came over here for monetary reason and had religious basis because that is how they were. If they built it on Christian principle, which Christian?
Since many that were more fully under the Christian banner, were leaving Christian areas in Europe because Christians were wrong at that time. Many felt they were more enlightened than your type of Christian, with there masonic and other influences and actually were Christians who disdained Christians like some of you.
More than half who came here originally were males. Using your logic the country therefore, was established based on testosterone levels.
Or, if that doesn't meet your fancy, most were right handed in which case the country would be founded on righthandedness. So there is a whole lot more to it than simply trying to say this country is based or founded on Christian principles.
Take your pick, then.
When I here that is it usually with someone saying there Christianity is the right one and using the founding of the nation to prove they are the more correct ones.
Can't see how you could come to that conclusion.
All I'm saying is that those who flocked to these shores originally and primarily did so mainly for religious worshiping purposes. And the religion was Christian. To this day, most citizens profess some sort of Christianity. But the numbers are diminishing. We could well end up an atheist or Muslim nation. Or something in between.
How about we just start with the first. You are completely wrong on that one. What ever someone worships is there god. So land and money are gods. Get over it and come up with something better.

That's the dumbest thing you have ever said, wrz, and pretty much everything you utter is dumb. See my post above about many of the "founding fathers" being Deists.
So, what was the percent of non Christians, including Deists, when this country was being founded?
My guess would be approximately .000000000000001 percent (not counting the Native American Indians, of course).
Actually Deists were pretty popular back then among the educated. You better rethink your percent there since it is WAY off.
I take your point. Remove two zeros.
Its funny, you don't have anything to argue on other than pathos and your own foolishness. That sir, does not get you very far on here. (Especially when your previous post has answers to my comments that only proved other of my answers right. You can't even tell when your dissing yourself, shame shame go play another game.

I'm happy for him if he attended a public school. He also attended a Madrassas according to reports. The fact that he either denies attending or refuses (neglects) to explain (fully), speaks volumes to me. Maybe not to you. We I need to know everything to the nth degree about someone who would be President of the United States. Your disdain for Bush 43 should have taught you that much. Maybe not. The fact that he favors mass immigration of illegals is enough for me not to have voted for him. But who knew?
Islam does not let anyone "leave" the religion. If they attempt it, they are subject to disciplinary action including death. Having said that, I doubt the Muslims would kill a Muslim US president as he would be an asset to the cause.
The real issue here is that you believe false reports produced by those who have an interest in tearing down a charismatic Democrat rather than the reports that debunk them. I would suggest you find your news from less biased sources. I didn't vote for Bush, I had enough information to predict many of the poor decisions he has made.

The Prez's own Chief of Staff told him that the invasion and subjugation and conversion of Iraq wouldn't work several months before the invasion. This one single fact will tarnish Bush, Cheney, Powell, Rice, and the neo-cons in Congress and in the country forever. The neo-cons will not come back to power in our lifetimes.

We do agree on one thing: bush is a total idiot.
Bush is an idiot on immigration... as are most Senate Dems and apparently, some repubs.
As for Afghanistan and Iraq, it's my opinion that he did the right thing. In any event, I support my government in times of war. You can do as you deem fit.
And as far as supporting this president goes, Bush lost any chance of that years ago due to his incompetance (sic), corruption and total lack of regard for the world around him.
Perhaps you see what you want to see. His opinion ratings look rosy compared to the Dem controlled Senate. Pelosi and Reid are in the tank as well.
PS: Speaking of "incompetence" I think you need a self-examination.
Thanks for the spell check. I hope your support for the president does not wane when Hillary is elected. It will be interesting to read your posts attacking her next year when she is "CinC". As per usual you are incorrect on the rosy ratings for your hero. The rose you are seeing is through your same colored glasses.

And here I was looking forward to seeing WRZ's evidence that the US is a Christian nation.
**Sigh**
Actually, I think you are making a reasonable objection to the point. The United States is slowly becoming less a Christian nation and more a Muslim nation.
Guess that's what happens when I get my hopes up and hold my breath.
Suggest you hold your breath for... say ten minutes. You'll feel much better after.
You are wrong there. We are not becoming a Muslim nation, we are becoming a Mexican/Hispanic nation. And that is based on how many legals and illegals we have coming into our country from our southern border. We don't have that many Muslim (Arabs) coming into our Country. Just look at California now that is has (unofficially) become part of Mexico again. I don't see any states that are being taken over by Muslims. And why don't you hold your breath for ten minutes, It will make all of us feel a lot better.
