You have embellished your story. If the thumping of the stereo in someones car is shaking your vehicle, I can guarantee that there is NO WAY you can understand the lyrics to the song they are listening to. The whole point of having a thumping system isn't the lyrics to the music. Often, the music does not even contain lyrics. The person has the bass turned up so high because of the "thump," NOT because the song has cool lyrics. So when you say that it takes you 4-5 hours to get the bad lyrics out of your mind, you cannot be speaking of the thumping stereos. I do however, agree with you when it comes to the fact that hearing an emergency vehicle is nearly impossible to the person with the loud stereo. Next time, please oh please get your story straight before you start preaching to the media on a topic. >
