Democrat: Tax and Spend Today's Republican: Borrow and Spend
There really isn't that much difference in how they act these days. True Republican versus true Democrat fiscal ideals are vastly different. These days the Republicans seem willing to spend, they just don't want to have to come up with the money for it.

If Huckabee is the Republican nomination, what are the odds that he doesn't carry Utah? Or Idaho? Or Nevada? Or Arizona? It would be an interesting test of religious tolerance to see if the LDS would vote for a guy who clearly isn't necessarily in our cheering section.
I am afraid I would fail this tolerance test...

Well said. I do not see fiscal conservation in congress anymore. The republicans are just as guilty for big government as the democrats now.

If you've got a sack full of douche-bags and you reach in an grab something you're going to get a douche-bag. That's all the Republicans can do this time around.
Have you looked at that sack of Democrats? I'd hate to say what you'd pull out if you reached in that bag!

There are more in that sack that recognize that unnecessary wars cost a lot of money. That's something (and the sooner the Dems figure out that Hillary isn't one of them the better of they will be).

I wish that they knew that unnecessary wars cost... but they only know that making noise about unpopular wars wins votes. In either case, the war will not end because strategically both parties are relying on the war to win an election. Sounds like a bag of slime on either account.
