This post refers to the following Salt Lake Tribune article. http://origin.sltrib.com/ci_7840906Former Utah governor and current Cabinet secretary Mike Leavitt sought to infuse the lessons of his religion into his inaugural address and into state policy, conducting a series of "Early Morning Seminary" classes in which he and top advisers discussed how to incorporate "just and holy" Mormon principles into his governance, archival records show....
...Over several mornings in late 1996, the group delved into the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants, exploring the lessons from Mormon scripture and how they apply to modern governmentWell, I guess we can see how important separating Church and State was on his list. Certainly not a surprise, by any stretch of the imagination. After all, this is Utah.

Palintology - An obscure and absurd religion headquartered in Wasilla, AK. Its adherents worship Sarah the Shopper, who knows nothing about foreign policy, believes in witches but not in global warming, and can talk up a storm and gut a moose quicker than you can say "John McCain". The Palintologists look forward to the second coming of Sarah in the republican rapture of 2012, when they believe the mothership will come and take them all to the promised land.

Must have been the part about Danites that gave Leavitt the brilliant idea to propose to the Western Governor's Conference a "Smart Chip" containing an individual's life history be built into the Utah Driver license. And later his secret "Data Mining" agreement with other states, which was discovered only after he packed his bags and headed to Washington DC.
Meanwhile, as prominent Mormons lead this country down the fascist path, "The Brethren" at Temple Square sit fat, dumb, and happy, counting their tithing and other corporate profits, occasionally stating "no 501(c)(3) comment!".

......and looking to third world countries in an effort to educate their members not only in religious doctrine but also in trades and intellect. Also in donating to humanitarian efforts throughout the world. Hmmmm....those profits are put to good use.
