If that is what he wanted, he should have invited folks from other religions (or no religion) to his little study sessions and studied their material as well. I don't consider a bunch of Mormon politicians meeting to discuss the Book of Mormon and D&C as "trying out new thoughts and challenging each other's ideas."

The discussions included how to communicate the lessons in a "bilingual" manner to a non-Mormon audience.

So, kinda like missionary discussions?

Leavitt said during the meetings that they were not official state business and asked staffers to keep the discussions confidential.
