That's one way of looking at it, the more negative way, typical.
I look at it as I think most good believing LDS people do, as Gods kingdom on earth, we all contribute to the building up of Gods kingdom. There are areas of the kingdom that function as a business, yes, nobody deny's that. But I look at it in a more positive enlightened way, in that all of Gods funds are used to build Gods kingdom, and help others.
Nothing negative about it. Facts are facts. The LDS Church, like every other major religious organization...is a business. Plain and simple.

And why would that be? Your attitude about the leaders is telling, and disgusting.
Would you allow a "leader" to humiliate your wife from the pulpit?
I doubt it happened as Jaye said, I have never seen nor heard of an Apostle publicly deriding someone from the pulpit, seems hard to believe, and considering the source, Mr. Negative anything LDS, I doubt it.
Some just look for the negative to have an excuse to stop going to church, my opinion.
There's a situation in my ward a lady got sick with a pretty serious situation, the ward and her home teachers pitched in and helped her out, meals, cleaning etc, she felt that was not enough and stopped coming to church over it. My son has since invited the child his age back to church and scouts, he has decided to come back, but the Mom doesn't realize her negative view is only hurting herself, and her son. This is why we are asked to not be easily offended, some are waaayyy to easily offended.
Yes, you do seem to get offended easily. You should work on that.
How do you know she felt that was not enough? Did she tell you? Or is it just a story from someone in the ward who thinks they know what is going on. You really should put an end to the gossip . . . that is probably what is keeping her from returning.
She told my wife, who is friends with her and does many things outside church with her. There really is no gossip about her, just pity she feels this one thing has kept her away from the gospel for well over 2 years and counting, our current Bishop tried to go to talk to her, she won't even talk to him, and he's new, there's no need for her to be mad at him. It's just stubborn pride at this point, she won't let us try to make it up to her, give us another chance.
She told your wife, your wife told you . . . ummm, hello . . . that is called gossip! good grief!
Nooooo, gossip would be someone besides the person it happened to telling my wife.
You are wrong, Wetmore. The second your wife told you, the story became gossip.
Shame on you!
and now Dubbs/Percy did more gossip and told us..!! "LOL"
"did more gossip" You sound like such a redneck.
I'm more of an old biker, BUT what do you think is wrong with rednecks Dubbs... Or is that you are just so stupid that you Stereotype people, I know a lot of rednecks and they are some good smart people, Ronald Reagan was a redneck....
Ronald Reagan was no redneck. He was a self made millioniare who rose clear to the highest office in the land. Look up redneck in the dictionary, and see your picture next to it.
American Heritage Dictionary
redneck
Used as a disparaging term for a member of the white rural laboring class, especially in the southern United States. A white person regarded as having a provincial, conservative, often bigoted attitude.
Yep if you asked Reagan that was him, a true Red blooded American Redneck Cowboy
So tell me Dubbs what is your problem with the hard working conservative white man
Was Regain a bigot laborer from the south?
Your logic is comical to see
Still waiting how JLD hinted the church was a business, more Bigdummy logic?
Yes Reagan was a laborer from the south (California/Texas) who became a millionare and yes he was a bigot, he hated black people and he was a conservative white man Dubbs....
You know after thinking about it (it's been about 14 or 15 years since I've talked to Reagan last, I'm wrong about him hating black people Reagan liked black people he was very nice to them, but he was one of those types who wouldn't want his daughter to marry one...
So I just wanted to point out my mistake...
what a nutjob clown punk you are
You worked for the guy (supposedly) and still don't know what he was like, and slander his good name. What a punk.
And still waiting to see how your logic of how California is in the "south" Wow, your dumb.
California and Texas are both considered to be part of the American South West.
And I don't believe that John said he worked for President Reagan...he said he met him once, and spoke with him a while.
Calif and Texas are not considered the "south" as referenced in Big's defintion he provided. THAT is the point. And the point still remains that by that very same definition...the definition only said 'especially in the South...not EXCLUSIVELY in the South. South is South Percy. Whether it's in the South East, the South West...or just mid-range U.S.

I read it the first time you made that statement. Everything Jaye says you take issue with. We all know that . . . it is to be expected. You would find some way to spin his words into something negative against the church if he mentioned that the sky is blue.
Now, will you answer the question. It's a very simple "Yes" or "No". I'm sure you have the ability to type either of those words. No need for a long diatribe against Jaye.
I answered all your questions, maybe not the way you wanted, but just as Jaye has done many times. I answered it to the satiscation of my own beliefs and understanding, not all questions are a yes or no answer.
In other words, yes you would if you felt he was justified. Okay! Damn, I'm glad my husband sticks up for me, no matter what.
I don't stick up for my wife if she's wrong, no, I'm man enough to say "hey, maybe we should look at it this way" or flat out tell her she's wrong if need be. She has the same respect to correct me if I"m wrong in a situation.
Just the other day I had a salesperson over to the house and he was explaining something and my wife misunderstood and started getting offended, I calmly explained that she was wrong and what the salesperson meant, she thanked me later. It's the way good marriages work, not a dominating wench expecting the pussified male to just go along "no matter what"
"LOL" what a wimp you are Dubbs "LOL"
Maybe so, but it would be sad to see this wimp beat your ass.
You have his address...and his open-ended invitation to bring it.
What's stopping you?
he's not worth going to jail over.
Plus after his threats against my wife and children, I wouldn't let a nut like that in my life in anyway, shape or form.
You're the only participant on this forum who has actively engaged in stalking behavior.
And he isn't the type to press charges against you if you win a fair fight in the ring.
Stalking is not what I do, I have only used information given ALL here by those here. That's all. That is not stalking, but repeating information given. Same could be said of you in the things you repeat about me IE, where I live, what I do for a living, my family situations, what I've said about them. Your just as much the stalker by your definition cliffy.
Maybe big would press charges, maybe he wouldn't, I wouldn't let the nutjob in my life to endure that pain he'd have to deal with afterwards, so it's a moot point.
A stalker uses the information at hand to perpetrate his crime...just as you have. A stalker also makes lists of everything his prey says, and keeps the list for future reference.
You have perpetrated stalking behavior on this forum. You took the information you gleaned from a man's comments, and you took steps to use it against him, and to attempt to cause harm to him.
You have constantly made references to wishing you knew who my Bishop and Stake President are, so you could take steps to having my temple recommend revoked.
You have even made references in the past in which you stated that you thought you knew my true identity and the name of my business.
You are a stalker Percy. Pure and simple.
I, on the other hand, am not interested in sullying my computer by making lists of every smutty remark you make.
I am not interested in knowing where you live.
I am not interested in knowing your name, your wife's name, or your children's names.
I was NOT interested in knowing what your wife's pet name for herself was.
I was NOT interested in hearing that you were home for lunch and a little afternoon delight with your wife.
I was NOT interested in hearing your references regarding the size and length of your penis.
I do not dig and pry for the details of your personal life.
Because I am not a stalker. I'd sure like to know more about you, Jaye. Does that make me a stalker? No my dear...because I welcome your friendship.

We ALL KNOW who is the stalker on this forum and You, Jaye, are so from being called that .... But that is what delusional people do. They call everyone else, what they see in their own mirrors.
I agree with all your comments, because "Real" people only want real friends. You, Jaye, are the best. Aw shuckeedarn Ma'am...and gee willickers. I like you too Blondie.

She did write a letter to SLC right? I'd say she got irritated enough to do that, I'd say mad would be a better word if you want to play word games.
Now your starting to understand my point, Yes, my wife "could" be a figment of my imagination, nobody here has met her, nor your wife, so yes, my point is made.
She did write a letter to SLC, after first calling to clarify the appropriateness of her musical selections.
This doesn't mean that she was mad, or upset, or irritated in any way. It simply meant that she wanted to clarify a few points regarding what did or did not constitute appropriate music for Church.
Being that she was the music coordinator, and the music specialist in the Ward...that is not an unusual thing at all.
As a matter of fact, she had corresponded with Church Headquarters on a number of occasions when she wanted to check on something.

Dubs, since I am "authorized" to speak for Jaye, I shall do so. I do not believe his wife wrote a letter. I think she called. No matter, that alone doesn't make her "mad" or "irritated". Maybe she just wanted to make sure she wasn't in the wrong. Nothing wrong with that. I also believe that if she had of been told she was wrong, she would have accepted it and apologized.
You do seem quite obsessed with Jaye and the Wolf, dubs.
To be specific, she called AND sent a letter. She called to clarify the appropriateness of her musical selection. And she sent a copy of her arrangement, and a disc she recorded for review as well.
She actually got to know one of the elderly Sisters who worked in the Music Dept. quite well. They corresponded and chatted on the phone once in a while, until the Sister passed away.
It was the general consensus of the Dept. that the G.A. was not justified at all in what he had said.
