I'm glad something is finally going to be done. American Fork smells like a campground toilet. I always forget to make sure my A/C is on recirc when traveling down I-15 in AF until it's too late. I don't know how people live or work in that area down by the freeway or anywhere near the sewage processing plant.

Isn't it interesting how governments can create public nuisances and get away with it, yet governments beat up old ladies for not watering a lawn?

And yes, there are odors, the worst of which come from the open fields where the solid waste, as it's euphemistically called, is laid out to dry before composting

GADS! No wonder it stinks so bad "open fields where is laid out to dry" !?!

Now they are going to wring out the water and make cakes out of it and haul them to landfills.

Yum...cakes!

That's the kind of cakes those in the kingdom of hell get on their birthdays.

How would you like that "we said", "they said" circus involving a jailed illegal alien to be repeated where your food is involved? And this article is only one example of this happening in this country!

It was a farm idea with a big payoff and supposedly no downside: ridding lakes and rivers of raw sewage and industrial pollution by converting it all into a free, nutrient-rich fertilizer.

Then last week, a federal judge ordered the Agriculture Department to compensate a farmer whose land was poisoned by sludge from the waste treatment plant here. His cows had died by the hundreds.

The Associated Press also has learned that some of the same contaminants showed up in milk that regulators allowed a neighboring dairy farmer to market, even after some officials said they were warned about it.
