Who is this man, Barack Obama? What do you know about him? The media has given this man a pass. The media has told you that you don't need to know anything about this man who's competing for the highest office in the land. The President. The media has told you that it is not necessary for you to know who his long-term friends are. The media has said it's sufficent that you just hear his lofty, often plagiarized, words. Is this sufficient for you? Remember, this is the highest office of the land that Obama is competing for. The media wants you to think that you can't scrutinize this man. Are they playing the race card?

Who is this man, Barack Obama?

Read this.

OBAMA'S MUSLIM CONNECTION

By Jon Christian Ryter

January 16, 2008
NewsWithViews.com

In 1991 a young Muslim Harvard Law College graduate named Barack Hussein Obama (who has denied his Islamic past and Muslim roots for as long as he has been a public figure) became a civil rights community activist working out of the Trinity United Church of Christ. Obama worked as a community organizer for Trinity in poor black neighborhoods. Trinity's senior pastor Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr, a black racist, who preached radical Afrocentric theology and didn't mind delivering profanity-spiked sermons found a congregation-builder in Obama. Because of what Wright called Obama's multiple-faith background and his Harvard education, he was a natural community-builder.

When Obama broke onto the national political scene in 2004, not only did he attempt to erase all traces his Islamic childhood, but he also tried to erase the nature of his relationship with Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr, the pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ. (When your country is at war with Islamic extremists being a Muslim is not the shortest route to the White House.) Obama has told the media his reason for shielding his pastor was because "...he respected Mr. Wright's work for the poor and his fight against injustice." In reality Dr. Wright's work was to denounce the United States as a white racist nation. That's not good press for an African American candidate who needs to win a majority of the white vote to win the office of President.

It would have been not only natural, but expected, for Barack Obama—when he decided to run for the presidency—to make the announcement from the pulpit of the 8,500 member Trinity United Church of Christ. Obama would later state he did not in order to shield his pastor from the spotlight of the media. Dr. Wright has never shunned positive publicity. It was obvious to the media—in particular the New York Times which noted in an April 20, 2007 article that Obama was very deliberately distancing himself from Jeremiah Wright. Instead, Obama announced his candidacy on the steps of the old State Capitol in Springfield, Illinois—where Abraham Lincoln announced his candidacy—on Feb. 10, 2007. Obama sees himself as an archtype of Lincoln who will "free his people from the tyranny of the oppressor." What people are those? The inner city people of color whom Dr. Wright believes are part of the Black Value System? Or does he see himself as the man who will free the Muslim world from the Great Satan since his first action, he says, as President of the United States will be to pull all Americans troops out of the Middle East? The voters need to figure out exactly who Barack Obama's constituents really are because when I add 2 + 2 + Obama, it doesn't come out four.

When Obama's early history and his Islamic upbringing was first reported, Obama's website posted a statement dated Nov. 12, 2007 with the headline: "Barack Obama is Not and Has Never Been a Muslim." The statement reiterated that Obama was not a Muslim, was not raised as a Muslim, and is a committed Christian.

On Dec. 22 at the Smoky Row Coffee Shop in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the locals asked Obama about his Muslim roots. He said: "My father was from Kenya. A lot of people in his village were Muslim. He didn't practice Islam. Truth is, he wasn't very religious." That was a lie. Obama's father and stepfather were devout Islamics. Both faithfully practiced their religion. His stepfather, who had a much greater impact on Obama's upbringing, was a radical Wahabbi Muslim. "My mother was a Christian from Kansas." That was also a lie. Obama's mother, his material grandmother and grandfather were all atheists. "They married and then divorced. I was raised by my mother. So, I've always been a Christian. The only connection I've had to Islam is that my grandfather on my father's side came from that country. But I've never practiced Islam...For a while I lived in Indonesia because my mother was teaching there. And that's a Muslim country. And I went to school—but I didn't practice Islam." Another lie. Obama's mother married Lolo Soetoro, a Wahabbi extremist who lived in Indonesia. When Obama's mother moved to Indonesia—before she married her second Muslim husband—she enrolled her son in Francis Assisis Catholic School. He was enrolled as a Muslim because he was a Muslim. The enrollment form required each student to choose one of five state-sanctioned religions when enrolling: Buddhist, Catholic, Hindu, Muslim, or Protestant. Had he been a lifelong Christian, or even a recent convert, he—or his mother—would have circled Protestant.

When confronted with this information, Obama said he couldn't understand how such an error could have happened. Los Angeles Times reporter Paul Watson, who dug into Obama's allegation of error, said "...his former Roman Catholic and Muslim teachers, along with two people who were identified by Obama's grade school teacher as childhood friends, says Obama was registered by his family as a Muslim at both schools he attended. The registration meant that during the third and fourth grades, Obama learned about Islam for two hours each week in religion classes. The childhood friends say Obama sometimes went to Friday prayers at the local mosque." (Something else Obama claims he never did.) "...Obama's younger sister, Maya Soetoro, said in a statement released by the campaign that the family attended the mosque only 'for big communal events' not every Friday." Obama, who belongs to a church that teaches that the Muslims of the world were wronged by both Israel and the United States, cannot afford to be labeled as a "Muslim" by voters who expect the United States to win the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan where their sons and daughters are being killed by Muslims.

Jim Wallis, a Christian antipoverty community activist and a friend of Obama's said Obama comes from a very secular, skeptical family. His faith is a personal and adult choice. His material grandparents—who were professing atheists—had previously been Baptist and Methodist. His mother's tutelage leaned towards Islam only because her new husband was an ardent Muslim—and he demanded it.

She was not, however, the docile Muslim housewife most Muslim men expected. Obama's half-sister Maya admitted that her "...whole family was Muslim, and most of the people I knew were Muslim." Because religion of any type rubbed his mother the wrong way, when he was 10, Obama's mother sent her son back to Hawaii to live with her parents.

In 2005 Obama met his paternal step-grandmoher (whom he calls his grandmother). Sarah Hussein Obama, 85, who lives in Kenya. She told the New York Times that she is "...a strong believer of Islamic faith," adding that she still rises at 5 a.m. to pray for an hour before tending to her crops and the three orphans she has taken in.

A camera which caught Obama on the political stage during a fund raiser for Sen. Tom Harkin in Iowa with presidential candidates Bill Richardson and Hillary Clinton shows his lack of respect to this nation during the singing of the National Anthem. Angered that the photo was released (and because the reporter erroneously stated the photo was taken during the Pledge of Allegiance rather than the singing of the national anthem, Obama said: "This is the classic dirty trick. This was not the Pledge of Allegiance. The woman was singing the Star Spangled Banner."

As a sign of respect to their nation, many Americans place their hand over their heart when the National Anthem is played as well as when they recite the Pledge. In his case, Obama said "...I was taught by my grandfather that you put your hands over your heart during the Pledge of Allegiance. The Star Spangled Banner, you sing." Only, when you look at the photo, its very clear that neither Obama nor the others on stage are singing. It was, however, the singing of the national anthem.

All the time he was around either his father or stepfather, Obama was either in Hawaii or Indonesia. Thus, neither his paternal grandfather nor the father of his stepfather would have tutored him on placing his hand over his heart during the US Pledge of Allegiance, nor the singing the American Star Spangled Banner. Rest assured that Indonesian homes don't recite the Pledge or sing the US national anthem. And while Hawaii had been a State for three years before Obama was born, logic suggests its not likely an atheist mother and an Islamic father would teach him to recite the Pledge of Allegiance or sing the Star Spangled Banner.

In his teen years Obama moved back to Honolulu where he lived with his maternal grandparents. In his rebuttal, you will recall, Obama claimed his grandfather had taught him to place his hand over his heart during the Pledge, and to sing the national anthem. History has a problem with that on both sides of the family. Like his mother who was an atheist, so were her parents. Obama's grandmother, he said in interviews, "...was too rational and too stubborn to accept anything she couldn't see, feel, touch or count." His maternal grandfather was also an atheist who "...had an innate rebelliousness and a complete inability to discipline his appetites...who...experimented with marijuana and cocaine." An atheist is not going to teach his grandson to respect the Pledge of Allegiance which pays homage to God.

In August, 2006 US Senator Barack Obama [D-IL] made a special trip to visit a special man in Kenya. The man's name was Raila Amolo Odinga. He is the head of the National Muslim Leaders Forum [NAMLEF] in Kenya. The political party he heads is called the Orange Democratic Movement [ODM]—although there is definitely nothing democratic about his political party of NAMLEF. The ODM is dedicated to overthrowing the legitimate democratic government of Kenya. Odinga is not really concerned how he achieves his objective. It matters little to him if he assumes power through a free election—or by revolution. But, by hook or crook, he is determined to become the president of Kenya. If he succeeds, he will be president for life and Kenya will become another Afghanistan.

When the US Senator visited Kenya to meet with Odinga in Nairobi, the Kenyan government officially denounced the visit. And, most specifically, they denounced Obama. According to a Kenyan government spokesman, Obama's bias for his friend was so blatant that the government found it necessary to complain that Obama appeared to be Odinga's stooge. Not only did Obama campaign for his Islamic friend, he convinced former Clinton adviser Dick Morris to become Odinga's campaign adviser.

Odinga bothers the US State Department for a couple of reasons. First, after losing the democratic election on December 27, Raila Odinga cut a deal for support from Vladimir Putin and the former Soviet Union. Odinga knows he has to overthrow the government to gain power. When he lost the election, he protested that the vote was rigged to keep him from claiming an election he won. He incited his tribal followers to go on a murderous rampage in towns that were primarily Christian. Throughout Kenya, hundreds of people were murdered. What shocked the west is that the Kenyan media—and the political power brokers within the country—out of fear of Odinga, appear to be suggesting that perhaps the election should be held over to stop the violence and the potential for long term Muslim terrorism.

In a wave of violence aimed at protesting what they call the illegal election of newly-elected Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki, a group of Christian women and children—some entire families—barricaded themselves in a church. Muslims, inflamed by Odinga's men, torched the church and burned to death everyone inside. This is the man Obama campaigned for in Kenya, and sang the praises of. This is also the man who claims that Barack Obama is a close, personal friend. Christianity would be outlawed.

There would be a complete ban on the public consumption of alcoholic beverages and a ban on western-style dress for women since this type of garb is considered immoral and an offense to the Muslim faith. Raila Obinga, it seems, would impose the same type of Shariah law that was imposed on Afghanistan by the Taliban. Odinga would degree that no Muslim living in Kenya—whether a citizen, visitor or relative of a citizen of Kenya (such as Obama, whose grandmother is a citizen of Kenya)‚shall be subject to any legal process involving the laws of a foreign country and in particular any Muslim arrested for, or suspected of, terrorism, or of any other international crimes shall only be tried inside the borders of Kenya and shall be granted a competent lawyer of his or her choice at the expense of the government.

The American people need to be asking Barack Obama a whole different list of questions when they attend his political rallies on his quest to become the leader of the free world. They need to ask the man who he really is because, up to this point on the campaign trail, he has lied to them. The American people need to find an honest candidate. Barack Obama is not that man.

And now there's Bill Ayers, an admitted terrorist, who set bombs off in police stations and the Pentagon not too long ago and said he should have done more. Obama's campaign people said Ayers and Obama are friendly.

Now this admitted terrorist is teaching our future educators at the University of Illinois. Read on.

The Chicago Three: Obama, Ayers & Rezko

By Bud White on April 18, 2008 at 2:55 PM
____________________________________

Overview: This is a story of big-city behind-the-scenes politics - of scratch-my-back and I'll-scratch-yours backroom dealings. It is a story of how Bill Ayers and Barack Obama - sitting on a charitable board (for which they were paid) - aided and abetted the lucrative real estate development projects of Obama's former law firm associate Allison Davis and Davis's development partner Antoin "Tony" Rezko.

The Woods board on which Ayers and Obama sat ended up giving those two development partners the sum of one million dollars, from which both Davis and Rezko reaped considerable financial gain. And Obama did not recuse himself from the board's vote on this large real estate transaction despite a clear conflict of interest from his past associations. Obama then became the beneficiary of large - very large - campaign contributions from Rezko and many of his wealthy associates. It all worked out very well for Sen. Obama.
_______________________________________

Bill Ayers, Obama's friend and benefactor, was introduced to the public during Wednesday's Democratic debate, much to the chagrin of the Obama campaign and his supporters.

Let's get one thing out of the way: Ayers was not a radical; he is a domestic terrorist (Ayers once suggested that young people should "Bring the war home. Kill your parents.". There's a big distinction between having radical ideas and violent plans. Gloria Steinem, Tom Hayden, and Todd Gitlin were radicals. The desire to kill innocent Americans makes Ayers a terrorist.

Larry Johnson makes the point that:

William Ayers is not just some guy who lives in Barack's congressional district. He helped Barack organize his run against State Senator Alice Palmer. Ayers raised money for Barack. Ayers contributed money to Barack. And Bill Ayers and Barack Obama sat side-by-side as paid board members of the Woods Fund.

Contrary to Obama's claim that who your friends are shouldn't matter, the fact that his benefactor is an unrepentant terrorist calls into question Obama's judgment. If Obama were applying for a job with the FBI or any American intelligence agency, his relationship with Ayers would receive the utmost scrutiny and would likely result in him receiving a rejection letter:

The CIA employment Web site says:

Friends, family, individuals, or organizations may be interested to learn that you are an applicant for or an employee of the CIA. Their interest, however, may not be benign or in your best interest.

This is a warning for an entry level analyst position. Obama is applying to be Commander-in-Chief. Obama's friends have included an American terrorist and Obama wants us to be believe that this relationship was benign? Not only are we entitled to ask about this relationship, it's our fiduciary duty as voters to demand more information about this relationship.

As the National Review Online asks about Obama's association with Ayers, only slightly tongue-in-cheek: "Do you, personally, know anyone who has ever tried to blow up the Pentagon?"

Obama's poor judgment in picking his friends–from Wright, to Rezko, to Ayers–becomes glaringly obvious when you realize that many of Obama's friends knew each other and were all working for each others' benefit. Like the Teamster's Pension Fund, the non-profit Woods Fund was place where Chicago's powerful could mingle and dispense funds to their friends:

In Obama's case, a whole gang of slumlords in Illinois made their "voices heard" by writing campaign checks to fund his rise to fame. But as long as the focus of the slumlord allegations remains solely on a crook named Rezko, the other members of the gang will not get the credit they deserve.

Until now…

In the mid-1990s, Ayers and Dohrn [Ayers' wife] hosted a meet-and-greet at their house to introduce Obama to their neighbors during his first run for the Illinois Senate. In 2001, Ayers contributed $200 to Obama's campaign. Ayers also served alongside Obama between December 1999 and December 2002 on the board of the not-for-profit Woods Fund of Chicago. That board met four times a year, and members would see each other at occasional dinners the group hosted.

Writing for the Chicago Sun Times, Tim Novak reports that Obama's "charity" work may have equally benefited Obama and his friends. Obama and Ayers were sitting board members when their friends came looking for money:

Seven years ago, Sen. Barack Obama was on the board of a Chicago charity when his former boss, Allison S. Davis, came looking for money. At the time, Davis was a developer represented by the law firm where Obama worked, as well as a small contributor to Obama's political campaign funds. He wanted the charity to help fund his plans to build housing for low-income Chicagoans. Obama agreed. He voted with other directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago to invest $1 million with Neighborhood Rejuvenation Partners L.P., a $17 million partnership that Davis still operates.

It's not clear whether Obama told other board members of his ties to Davis, whose family would go on to donate more than $25,000 to Obama's political campaigns, including his bid to be president of the United States.

"Let me get back to you on that," Obama presidential campaign spokesman Bill Burton said when asked about that two weeks ago. He never did.

In a painful contortion, the Obama campaign defended Obama's "magnanimous" vote by claiming that

"It was a worthwhile project," Burton said. "It's not a conflict of interest to do what's right for your community."

City records show Davis used some of the money to build a 72-unit apartment building for senior citizens at 87th and Ashland. The $10 million project - built with a $5.7 million loan from the city - netted Davis nearly $700,000 in development fees, city records show.

Perhaps the biggest revelation is that Obama's buddy Rezko was a business partner with Davis.

As a developer, Davis' partners have included Tony Rezko, the now-indicted political fund-raiser who has been among Obama's biggest political supporters. A few months after Davis left the law firm, Obama won his first political office - a seat in the Illinois Senate. His campaign contributors included Rezko and Davis.

Two years later, Obama wrote to city and state officials, urging them to give money to New Kenwood LLC, a company that Davis and Rezko formed to build an apartment building for low-income seniors at 48th and Cottage Grove.
Davis and Rezko were building that project in 2000 when Davis approached the Woods Fund, seeking its investment in future projects.

In summary, Obama was at the intersection of money and power in Chicago politics. He voted to fund his boss's projects who in turn donated huge sums of money to his campaigns. His boss was in business with Tony Rezko, another Obama friend and fundraiser. And all of this was done while sitting across the table from an American terrorist, Bill Ayers, who also gave money to Obama's campaigns and to the business ventures of Rezko and Davis. It's now painfully obvious why Obama doesn't want us to examine his friendships.

It's nice that StupidReader has found something to do while she waits for Ed McMahon to knock on her door with that check from Publisher's Clearing House. She will send her winnings to Rush, no doubt.

She should keep enough money for herself for a lifetime supply of Depends, though.

No need to thank me, StupidReader. This is my good deed for the day in appreciation for the amusement and the votes!

Bill Moyers asking the easy questions and trying to make Jeremiah Wright out to be just the guy next door. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor for 20 years, who preach-cursed America from the pulpit and referred to America as the US of KKKA.

The Sanitizing of Reverend Wright

April 28, 2008

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I'm sure you know this by now. Reverend Wright is out there. There are excerpts of his interview with Bill Moyers. And let me explain something to you about Bill Moyers. A lot of people in e-mails ask, "Rush, does Bill Moyers actually agree with this guy? Why is Bill Moyers giving this guy all this time?" Let me explain Bill Moyers to you. Bill Moyers despises the New Media. He despises that his Old Media is no longer a monopoly. He may find... I don't know what his thoughts on Jeremiah Wright are; I don't care. All he knows is that nobody would know about Jeremiah Wright, in his opinion, if it weren't for the New Media. So his attack is on the New Media. His willing participation in the attempt to sanitize Reverend Wright is not really to help Reverend Wright. It is to get back at the New Media. He despises us, he hates us, and Reverend Wright was brought to the public attention by us. So this is Moyers' reason. Then you have what Wright himself is saying.

Wright was asked by Moyers, "What are your thoughts on Obama here and all," and Reverend Wright said, "Well, look, he's saying what he has to say as a politician, and I'm saying what I say as a preacher." Now, you can interpret that one or two ways, ladies and gentlemen. He may be throwing Obama under the bus. A lot of people are interpreting it that way. Because what he's basically saying is, "Look, we all know that Obama doesn't believe half the stuff he's saying. He just has to say what he says. We know that Obama had to criticize me, but he really doesn't dislike me. He just had to do this for politics." This is not good to say this about a messiah. It's not good to say this about somebody who's going to bring hope and change and unity and all that. The second interpretation is -- I think there's some validity to that, but I also think this is going on -- the Obama campaign and the Democrat Party realize they have got to sanitize this guy. They have got to put him out there as a teddy bear, and that's their hope.

Now, it's a roll of the dice because it doesn't take much to get old Reverend Wright revved up, but he's out there; he was very gentle, and he was very happy. There were a couple of moments where he almost launched into sermon behavior, but he reined it in. He's going to be at the National Press Club. The whole point of this is to put him out there so the American people can see him this way so that then the campaign can say, "This guy? He's harmless! He works with prisons. He works with AIDS relief. He has soup kitchens. This is one of the greatest Americans around, a former Marine." This is the primary purpose of the Jeremiah Wright Sanitization Tour that begins tonight with Bill Moyers on PBS.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Reverend Jeremiah Wright, ladies and gentlemen. Let's review. On this program, as opposed to McCain campaign, we don't want you to forget the man who Barack Obama "cannot disown any more than he can disown" his racist white grandmother here's a montage of sermons -- well? Snerdley's in there laughing, but see? This is the thing. It sounds funny, but it's absolutely the truth. We don't. Here at the EIB Network, we are not going to let anybody forget the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, a man Obama "cannot disown any more than he can disown" his racist white grandmother. That's what he said! Here's the montage of the best of Jeremiah Wright.

WRIGHT (screaming): Barack knows what it means to be a black man living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people! [snip] Hillary ain't never been called a nigger! [snip] Bill did us just like he did Monica Lewinsky!

CONGREGATION: (cheers)

WRIGHT: He was riding dirty. [snip] In white America, US of KKKA: black men turning on black men. [snip] I am sick of Negroes who just do not get it. [snip] Not God bless America, God (bleep) America! It's in the Bible. For killing innocent people, God (bleep) America! [snip] (Screaming) And now we are indignant because of stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back into our own front yards!

CONGREGATION: (cheers)

WRIGHT: America's chickens are coming home...to roost.

RUSH: Those are just the highlights. And let us not forget that we know of all this simply because the Reverend Wright's church was proudly selling DVDs of these sermons. Now we move on to PBS. Tonight, Bill Moyers' Journal will feature an interview with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, the official pastor of Democrat Barack Obama. Here are excerpts. They released them. They were over TV last night, but if you've missed them, here is Reverend Wright commenting on the controversy surrounding his controversy.

WRIGHT (speaking calmly): When something is taken -- like a sound bite for a political purpose -- and put constantly over and over again, looped in the face of the public, that's not a failure to communicate. Those who are doing that are communicating exactly what they want --

RUSH: Hold it just a second. I can't sit here. Hold it. I cannot sit here and listen to this and not say anything. Nothing was "looped." These are pretty lengthy sound bites. Let me tell you about looped, Reverend Wright. Put that back to the top, Mike. Let me tell you about looped. I have vast firsthand experience at being looped on video with my video sped up. I have vast experience with being lied about on that looped tape. You all remember the Michael J. Fox controversy here during the campaign of 2006. You were not looped, sir. You were not taken out of context, and you were not... (sigh) Well, the length of the sound bites in question here are not just little snippets. They're trying to say, "Oh, they take snippets of what he said." These are from your own released DVDs! Here. I'll shut up here and we'll listen to the whole thing again.

WRIGHT: When something is taken -- like a sound bite for political purpose -- and put constantly over and over again, looped in the face of the public. That's not a failure to communicate. Those who are doing that are communicating exactly what they want to do which is to paint me as some sort of fantastic -- or as the learned journalist from the New York Times called me, a "wackadoodle." It's to paint me as something; something's wrong with me. There's nothing wrong with this country. There's nothing -- or it's policies. We're perfect, we are -- we are -- Our hands are free. Our hands have no blood on them. That's -- that's not a failure to communicate. The lesson that's be -- being communicated by the sound bites is exactly what those pushing those sound bites want to communicate.

RUSH: Unreal. It's just unreal. But he knows (and I don't even talk about Moyers) he has a sympathetic media, and the whole purpose of this is to sanitize Reverend Wright; so that when he's through with this sanitization tour, the media can say, "See? He's harmless. He's a friendly guy! He loves his country. He does a lot of charitable work. Those sound bites were taken out of context, and they were looped over and over again, and the worst was made to look when it wasn't really the worst -- and some of those things he didn't even say himself. He was quoting other people, but the people that quoted him made it look like he was saying it for himself," blah, blah, blah. You know how this is going to go. This is a coordinated effort. Some people think, I have heard, that Wright is mad at Obama and is doing this as a freelancer on his own. No, ladies and gentlemen, that's not the point here. You got a radical like Ayers or radical like Obama or radical like Wright, and they want Obama elected. This is far more serious, I think, than a lot of people understand. Moyers then said, "Well, what do you think they wanted to communicate about you?"

WRIGHT: I think they wanted to communicate that I am, uh, unpatriotic, that I am un-American, that I'm filled with hate speech, that I have a cult at Trinity United Church of Christ -- "and, by the way, guess who goes to his church? Hint, hint, hint. That's what they wanted to communicate.

MOYERS: What did you think when you began to see those, uh, very brief sound bites circulating as they did?

WRIGHT: I thought it was unfair. I felt it was unjust. I felt it was untrue. I felt that those who were doing that, were doing it for some very devious reasons.

RUSH: Twilight Zone time. Alternate universe time. This is no different than that guy Josh Steiner. Was that his name? The guy used to work for the Clinton administration. There was some scandal they were involved in, and he got called up to Congress to testify, and they said, "Look, you wrote right here in your dairy..." and he said, "Yeah, I lied to my dairy." He actually said this in testimony on Capitol Hill. "I lied to my dairy." Well, it's no different than Monica Lewinsky. Hillary said "right-wing conspiracy." It was almost as though we hired Lewinsky. We got her in the White House; we ordered the pizza. She went and picked up the pizza, brought it to the Oval Office, and the Lewinsky started. It's like we did that. We put the words in Reverend Wright's mouth. They're trying to sanitize the guy. One more bite before we go to the break. Bill Moyers: "Did you ever imagine you would come to personify the black anger that so many whites fear?"

WRIGHT: No, I -- I did not. I -- I have been preaching since I was ordained 49 years ago.

RUSH: I can't take this.

WRIGHT: I pointed this out to some persons in Chicago who find all of this new to them, that the stance I took in standing against apartheid along with our denomination back in the seventies -- and putting a "Free South Africa" sign in front of the church --
RUSH: See?

WRIGHT: -- put me at odds with the government. Our denomination's defense of the Wilmington Ten and Ben Chavis put me at odds with the establishment.

RUSH: Ben Chavis?

WRIGHT: So being at odds with policies, uh, is nothing new to me. The blowup and the blowing up of a sermon preached ten, 15, seven, six years ago --

RUSH: Two years ago.

WRIGHT: -- and now becoming a media event; again, not the full sermon --

RUSH: Last year.

WRIGHT: -- but snippets from the sermon, the sound bites; having made me the targets of -- of hatred? Yes, that is something very new and something very, very unsettling.

RUSH: You see, folks? We're just dummkopfs. When he was into his anti-American screed and his hateful diatribes, that's not what he did. That's just how we're interpreting it. So it's all our fault, and it's our fault because of the way devious minds cut up the tapes and "looped" them -- and then furthermore, it's not even true. He didn't say those things. He didn't say what he said! He didn't say it. And Moyers is -- you should see this. Moyers is sitting there nodding pensively. He didn't say it. So you who have heard these Reverend Wright tapes, what you're to take away from this was, and is, is, "He didn't say it."

We're trying to learn about it. He's benefiting from media coverage. He's
