It's interesting that John McCain was carrying his own suitcases and almost out of the campaign not too long ago. (Who can forget that solitary image of him lumbering through the airport with that smile on his face talking to the one or two reporters who were still covering him?) Yet he won the nomination of the Republican party. Although he wasn't my preferred candidate, that is to be admired. For sure. The man must have really wanted it.

It made me give him a second look. Under his calm exterior there's a fire burning that's not yet out. He can still move people. And, despite the fierce competition, there was no mistaking that Mitt Romney respected the man.

I'm sure, though, that the Liberal media will find a way to tear the man apart after the Democratic chaos is all over. They set him up only to tear him down. Chew him up, and spit him out. Ah. But hasn't John McCain endured far more than that at the hands of the enemy, and met his maker a time or two in the bargain?

Meanwhile, Dean the Scream is urging the Democratic delegates to declare who they will support. To end the chaos. Of course, we all know who Dean supports, don't we?

This will give SR fits:

"I would immediately close Guantanamo Bay, move all the prisoners to Fort Leavenworth."

McCain is a true conservative, not a pretend one like SR, or Rush, or Sean. Liberatarians are not conservatives, and SR is certainly not even that. He is a disguised failed liberal trying to make a comeback as a now-failed neocon with the rest of the tribe.

McCain will use them, then abuse them as he kicks them to the curb. Go, John!

As long as the Jihadists are locked up and eventually held to account for their vile acts I don't care where they reside.

That is not what you said when the first came up some years ago. If I remember right, you believed that if prisoners were transferred to the United States that they would end up in federal courts, which you believed to be an abomination -- legal rights for an accused.

Changed your mind? Backing John all the way now?
