Jaye, that was so thoughtful of you to go to all the trouble of finding that info and posting it. I am being sincere in saying this. I found it quite interesting and maybe it will help someone out of a problem, or help save their life if any of us should come upon any of the mentioned situations. You are so right about true emotions and feelings coming out in a post, message or email. I have found that to be so with my personal emails with friends and family. Even though my friends and family know me well and vice versa, there is sometimes a misunderstanding of ones true meaning. Here in this instance, I don't "know" any of you and none of you know me. I was just so happy with you first message to me as it seemed like someone finally was getting what I was trying to say. I responded to your assumed kindness (Which I still beleive ) by calling you Dear. I had no idea it is used by others in a demeaning way and I am sorry that is how it appeared to you. I accept your apology and it was very gracious of you to do so. I have been members of forums in the past, enjoyed some and hated others. As mean as people can be here, the Forum for the Portland Tailblazers is horrendous. They tear apart your every word, put down you and everything you say. They are brutal! I did not last very long there. It was just too harsh. I hope I can hang around here for awhile and get to know everyone a little better. I know we will never agree on everything, but maybe once in awhile, huh?

Once you get to know him, you'll love him. I do. And maybe he'll even let you call him "Dear" one of these days.

And I apologize again for misconstruing the 'dear'. I agree...these forums can get pretty mean, and sometimes people respond to disagreement with undue or inappropriate levels of anger, or irritation. We are, after all, only human though...and nobody likes to be mocked, derided or belittled. I imagine that it is quite probable that we will find quite a few things to agree on...and a scant few to disagree on.

DEAR Granny...I may has well get in on the dear bit too eh??? Nice try on the personality profile. You did get the MALE part right but thats about it.
I'm happily married 12 years now to the love of my life. Temple Marriage even...can you believe it???
I love a good debate on something debateable...but topics like this one are not debateable. This topic is just plain rediculous as any person with the power to think can see. It would be as stupid as the state filing charges against the parents for child neglect because they weren't adequately prepared to be camping in that area where there were bears!!!
I spent 18 years living in Utah County but left a year ago when the housing market looked like it was about to tank and went to pursue another area of the state. I am now in another quiet area of the state two hours away. I am currently building 25 residential units and one office building one office building...so you were almost right there granny.
I happen to be the largest builder in the area I work in, I was recently listed in Intermountain Contractor Magazine as one of the "Top Owners" as far as large projects go, and....I'm an incredibly nice guy!!!! Oh yeah...I also carry a concealed weapon!!!
Do you want to try again with any more profiling?

Yes Grandma, I can attest to what a nice guy he is. Let's see, he has called me a streetwalker and a freaking idiot. He has also called the family in question white trash, and has said (in jest) that he thought the bear should sue for indigestion. Yeah, he's a really nice guy.
I haven't said nice things either, but I'm not bragging about all of my accomplishments and about what a good person I am. However, I want to let you know that I currently have 17 foster children, volunteer regularly at the homeless shelter, coach several little league teams, donate 80% of my income to charity, and was named in 'Time Magazine' as "The Person of the Year" in 2004.
