I have read the boards long enough to know that you douche bags are Mormons (the ones who responded to my last past), and what fine examples you are!

I never said I wasn't judgemental. Everyone is to a certain degree, but most of the people that post here seem to have no life, and post, and post away about how much smarter they are than everyone else. I have a life, and a job, and can't spend all day reading and writing posts.

I don't comment much, but I felt compelled to do so on this particular story. I admit I am judgmental, especially towards asshats like yourself.

You didn't answer the question. Have you walked in their shoes?

Bright Eye...I for one, am extremely gratified that you don't comment much if this is an example of how you behave and the language you use.

Wow..

And just what are YOU a fine example of?

Here is an article posted shortly after the boy's death.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/06/19/national/main2947472_page2.shtml

Note that during the previous month, officials reported black bear sightings in Provo Canyon and Park City, including one incident in which residents of a cabin had burned food and opened windows to air the cabin out. The bear in this case ripped open the screen door and entered the cabin.

Be sure to watch the video...in which you will see films of a black bear sow and her cub are wandering through a neighborhood, past fenced backyards.

These people cannot possibly claim that they weren't aware of the possibility that there were bears in the location they chose to camp...which, by the way, was about a mile and a half or so out of the established campground.

It is often stated that there is safety in numbers. I agree. It is far less likely that these people would have been attacked had the family camped within the established campground, than in the very primitive and secluded area they chose to set up their tent.

The incident that happened the night before happened because a neighboring campsite had left food lying about.

The bear returned to the area in which it had found food the night before.

No, I haven't walked in their shoes, thank God. I have been involved in cases like theirs for many years, and have seen families suffer after losing a loved one.

If you haven't walked in their shoes then why do you have any more right to have an opinion about this situation than any of the rest of us? I've been involved in and seen my share of tragedies in my professional life and I know Jaye has also. Is that what it takes to be able to have an opinion? Money will not ease the suffering.
