Dubbs they are very similiar!! In fact they both look forward to plural marriage whether after they die or in secret/sacred while on earth. Correct good buddy?
Yea, big whoop really, many religions have one or two similarities, means nothing really.
Come on man. Plural marriage is one of the main precepts to both "religions". Face facts.
Not at all, you believe it's a main precept and you "claim" to be ex LDS? Once again you show you really never studied the faith while in the church, but have read more anti nonsense than anything.
The church had 5-10% of it's members ever practice polygamy, and today only those who have a spouse die are sealed to another spouse if they choose, hardly a "main precept" bro, your delusional.Pretend-words from a pretend-person mean nothing. In fact, the percentage was higher, much higher in Dixie and Cache, and upwards of 40% of the population either were married polygamously, the children of polygamists, or were related to polygamists. The doctrine is engrained in LDS history, culture, and scripture. It is looked forward to as the perfecting of the family in the next life. No Mormon, of any sect, should ever be shy about Joseph Smith's family doctrine of the eternal, polygamous family.

There's no easy answer here.
Those in any religious organization that hold so tenaciously onto their beliefs leave little room for compromise.
As for not choosing Heavenly Father, there are many in other faiths who think I have by leaving. I know you don't see it that way.
I don't think being a member of a Church makes you a good disciple any more than being born in this country makes you a good citizen.
For all the hard stuff I've experienced, I've had some miracles occur that would not have happened had I stayed.
So I guess everyone has to do what they feel is right for them.
And again, I thank you for your time and thoughtful reply.
And how many mircles would have there been had you stayed, and watched your kids in the temple, go with them, still have your family and the priesthood to bless there lives?
Sure being a member of any religion doesn't make you a saint, not sure what your point is except to kinda bash the church with little innuendo's you like to throw out in congnito. I would imagine this comes out to your kids also, and they get tired of it, think about it.
Remember, Life Rocks, that you are talking to a self-admitted pretend-person is giving you pretend-advice. Give it as much weight as it is worth.

Eternal marriage, "families can be together forever," posthumously baptising relatives etc., is quite a hook the church has to keep people obedient. I mean who wouldn`t want to be with their family forever? I suppose that there are some, but I would guess the majority of people would want to be together in the eternities. I think this tool is quite effective in practise, but it does, in some situations, drive a wedge between family members..
To each there own, but you are wrong, God has instituted a plan, take it up with him.

To each there own, but you are wrong, God has instituted a plan, take it up with him. Save it for Fast & Testimony Meeting, where you might get a better response.

Don't be a typical anti Mormon bitter bob, there's too many here, this is the breeding ground for bitter anti Mormons, ex Mormons who have left their familys and taken a destructive road, don't do that.
