It is more like an out of state interest to buy tickets and then sell them at a higher price to in-state residents.

I don't think the event organizers have considered that the out of staters are more than likely selling their tickets to locals online. So much for tradition.

Last year, they gave some tickets to soldiers and their families. With approximately 600 deployed soldiers, I hope they carry on the tradition of supporting the soldiers and their families.

After all, what better way to celebrate Independence Day than to celebrate the sacrifices made by our soldiers in the name of freedom?

This event has become over rot with greed, not with what is a community event.

It's great that we were able to get such a popular act to come to Provo. It's just sad that it is coming at such a price to the locals who attend annually. For some, the Stadium of Fire and the parade is what the fourth is all about.

On a side note...

Things have been going well. I've been incredibly busy! Sometimes I read through the forums and post when I have time.

This is the result of trying to bring the numbers up on attendance to the "Fire". It has blown it all up in the face of the "regulars that ALWAYS COME". JMO

Doing good, but very glad I am out of the State..LOL

Since the fat has hit the fire...and we find out that Miley Cyrus posed topless for Vanity Fair...I wonder how this will affect the Freedom Festival?

I imagine that this will open up a whole new demographic where her fans are concerned.
