as far as the Priesthood, as I said, no other Christian faith I know of even claims to have the Priesthood, much less understand what it is and what they do with it. Christ gave the priesthood to his 12 apostles. As he always wanted it to be.
Oh, I don't believe the evangelicals having the right path (other than Jesus) than I do your path. Both the Bible and BoM are errant, full of errors and mistakes done by man.
The Catholic Church claims it has the authentic priesthood of Christ. The LDS and much of Christianity claims it was lost in an universal "apostasy". But, once again, to me that is simply the opinions of men.
Turn to Jesus and let His spirit work in you.

ftentimes when a Mormon is trying to defend his own unique beliefs or destroy the faith of a Bible believer, that Mormon will bring up baptism for the dead, as it is mentioned in 1 Cor. 15:29. Here is what that text reads:
Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? (1 Cor 15:29, KJV)
It is very easy for a Christian to answer this Mormon question after examining the immediate context, that is, verses 29 and 30:
Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? And why stand we in jeopardy every hour? (1 Cor 15:29,30)
Contrasting Pronouns
Please notice the contrasting pronouns they and we. The pronoun they refers to the ones believing in and practicing baptism for the dead, while we refers to the Christian group that Paul identifies himself with. In other words, that passage refers to baptism for the dead, but it was not practiced by Christians. It was done by the non-Christian people—not the group Paul identifies himself with. This also explains why there is never any other reference to baptism for the dead anywhere else in the Christian Scriptures.
In Summary
Sometimes the cults will bring up some strange doctrine/s and because Bible-believers are not acquainted with the Scriptures, they are thrown into confusion. Sometimes it is much worse than merely being thrown into confusion, that is, the gullible, naive and exploitable do get deceived into a group that ludicrously believes in God the Mother, that Jesus is the Spirit-brother of Lucifer, that God was once a man and man can become God, etc. It is vitally important that we all recognize Joseph Smith Jr. for what he was based on Scripture, that is, a false prophet and therefore a deceiver (Mt. 24:11). There is no need to pray about the Book of Mormon (or the LDS church) because we don’t lack knowledge about it or its founder. Please read over these other related articles for your Mormon friends or people having Mormons coming over to their house http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/mormonm.htm
GOD BLESS YOU.
Excellent commentary, UncleBud. All Dubbs will do is name call and offer his opinion, and who cares about that?poor Dubbs fails to see that the leaders of Mormonism have sanitized most everything he believes. It makes a man a fool who believes whats he's told without researching on his own.

Paul was not speaking of those Non Christians, Baptism for the dead has been found in the early Christian church early writings.
If Paul were making fun of a questionable, pagan practice, why would he cite it as evidence supporting the teachings of Christ? Think about this. He's teaching that resurrection is a reality. If it weren't a reality, then, he asks, what sense would there be to the practice of baptism for the dead? This passage just doesn't make sense, if baptism for the dead were a practice he wholly rejected.
He cites it as something that is valid and as something which is consistent with the doctrine of resurrection. Note also the relationship between verse 29 and 32. In verse 32, Paul asks what value all his difficult missionary work in Ephesus would have been if the dead do not rise. His missionary work was real, it was inspired of God, and it has eternal value - but it would be in vain if there were no resurrection. He's citing his own godly work and sacrifice as a witness of the reality of the resurrection. Likewise, in verse 29, Paul asks what value baptism for the dead would have if there were no resurrection. For verse 29 to be consistent with the arguments Paul is developing and to be consistent with the parallel language in verse 32, it is only reasonable to understand that baptism for the dead was also real, inspire of God, and has eternal value - but it would be in vain if there were no resurrection. Paul cites the godly work of other Christians as a witness of the reality of the resurrection. It makes no sense to think that he is somehow condemning an evil practice - it would be totally out of place in the context of Chapter 15.
Care to cite the source for this cut and paste you've just plagiarized? It obviously wasn't written by you.
