There is plenty of this "bashing" to go around. There was a post on here just a couple of days ago from an evangelical site that talked about the LDS beliefs as ludicrous etc. So yes, there's plenty to go around. But I do admit, evangelicals are equal opportunity bashers. They dislike everyone. But whats the point? You and dubbs are quite alike in that respect. I don't find much useful in either one of your "discussions".

I would welcome discussing beliefs but it always seems to go downhill here. Your idea of salvation is different than mine, so what. The only way we're going to find out who is right is to kick the bucket. You're welcome to go first and report back.

When you look at a building, you know there is a builder. In the same since when you look at creation you know there is a Creator. So even though you don't know the name of Jesus, you can know about God when you look at all that he has created around you. These verses let us know that even though we may not have heard about Jesus we all have knowledge of God through his creation. Even Helen Keller, when she was finally able to comunicate with people and was told about God, she had known about God before, for she said she knew of him she just didn't know his name.

So, if a person accepts God (the Godhead as it says) he is saved.


The word Godhead is another word for trinity.

Problem is, doesn't your silly explanation leave everyone who ever lived "saved" If God has given everyone a knowledge of him, and that's all it takes?

Not really what the bible teaches, the bible teaches that you have to confess the name of Christ as your personal Savior, and be baptised in his name to enter heaven. So the bible doesn't really fit your cherry picked scriptures.

The bible also says "straight is the gate, narrow is the path that leads to salvation, and few there be that find it"

Which kinda also contradicts your view of the cherry picked scriptures you quoted and that everyone basically knows God, and will all be saved.

Then why did Christ go preach to the spirits in prison after he died and before he was reserected if it's too late?

Why were the Corinthians baptising for the dead if it's too late once you die?
