Wow! I had never seen any of Keith Olberman's show before. He appears to be the Liberal Equal to Michael Savage, who is even worse than Sean Hannity, who is worse than Rush Limbaugh. You can't believe much of what they say. Could you not see when he was showing pictures of President Bush, there were only printed words on the screen? You never once hear the President's voice. How can you believe that propaganda? It is no more credible than if Michael Savage had done the same thing. These guys are performers, they are in it for the reaction. They take a seed of the truth and twist it and spread it out and make it something entirely different. They say what they think people want to hear. They want to get them fired up! If you are searching for facts, don't listen to these guys. They are in it for the drama and the money.
Please don't base your decisions on what these guys are trying to manipulate you into. I'm talking BOTH liberal and conservative. Research facts, not innuendo. Don't base things on President Bush, either. He is not running, his reign is over. Just take an impartial look at the candidates who are running. Check out their own websites and see what their platforms are.

A St. Cloud State University student in a teacher-training program at Technical High School left the school in late April because he says he feared for the safety of his service dog.
The threat came from a Somali student who is Muslim, according to Hurd, St. Cloud State and school district officials.
The Muslim faith, which is the dominant faith of Somali immigrants, forbids the touching of dogs.Thats great info! We can solve two problems with one stone. We have all these stray dogs over here not to mention the problem with feral hogs down south. All we have to do is round them all up and, ship them over to Iraq. They'll be so busy trying to avoid all the stray dogs and feral hogs. That they will be too busy to bother anyone. Then we can start to bring all the troops home! We could call it operation stray force. Talk about some shock and awe.

Check out their own websites and see what their platforms are.Yes, I agree Granny, people should do research. So why didn't you? Here is a link to the complete transcript of that interview. Please be so kind as to research it and point out the parts that Olbermann misquoted. It's rather long...we'll be waiting for you to point out the parts Olbermann misquoted. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0508/10316.htmlHere are just a few excerpts, ver batim. The primary ones you saw on the screen that you "mistrust" and call propaganda. What's not accurate? Q Mr. President, I'm going to surprise you -- there's a question from a user, Bruce Becker, and he asks: Do you feel that you were misled on Iraq?
THE PRESIDENT: I feel like -- I felt like there were weapons of mass destruction. You know, "mislead" is a strong word, it almost connotes some kind of intentional -- I don't think so, I think there was a -- not only our intelligence community, but intelligence communities all across the world shared the same assessment. And so I was disappointed to see how flawed our intelligence was.
Q And so you feel that you didn't have all the information you should have or the right spin on that information?
THE PRESIDENT: No, no, I was told by people that they had weapons of mass destruction -- as were members of Congress, who voted for the resolution to get rid of Saddam Hussein. And of course, the political heat gets on and they start to run and try to hide from their votes. But intelligence communities all across the world felt the same thing. This was kind of a common assessment.
So "mislead" means, do I think somebody lied to me? No, I don't. I think it was just, you know, they analyzed the situation and came up with the wrong conclusion.
Q Mr. President, you haven't been golfing in recent years. Is that related to Iraq?
THE PRESIDENT: Yes, it really is. I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the Commander-in-Chief playing golf. I feel I owe it to the families to be as -- to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.
Q Mr. President, was there a particular moment or incident that brought you to that decision, or how did you come to that?
THE PRESIDENT: No, I remember when de Mello, who was at the U.N., got killed in Baghdad as a result of these murderers taking this good man's life. And I was playing golf -- I think I was in central Texas -- and they pulled me off the golf course and I said, it's just not worth it anymore to do.And you are right about Bush almost being out of office. Thank God for that, and let's continue to pray he does not do anything even more idiotic in his remaining time, like attack Iran. Don't put it past him. And if you think McCain is different, he said just today that he believes we will be out of Iraq, in a combat role at least, by 2013 (the end of his first term, if elected). No rationale for that, no plan to achieve it, just his belief. He might have added that he believed gas would be back down to about $1.25 a gallon by 2013 as well, but I guess that would have been to much for even gullible Republicans to believe. How is that much different from Bush's "stay the course", victory is just around the corner crap?

Posted from my Blackberry, which John McCain's campaign staff said he helped create. It was actually invented in Canada, but what the heck. They just can't stop lying.

Hmm, I just reread my post and can't see anywhere that I said anyone was misquoted. I just said that you did not hear the voice of our President say anything. You miss the expression and nuances with text, as we all know so well on this forum. And Mr. Olberman seemed over the top fanatical and radical to me. Now, I don't think you can tell by my post which way I lean politically as I am trying to stay neutral. I am just hoping that neither party listens solely to the likes of Mike Savage, Rush, Hannity, Olberman and his co-horts, I don't know all of their names. (This is Utah, we only get the conservative stuff here ) They are TV personalities. I know some people that say, "Oh my Gosh! My favorite celebrity just endorsed John Mc Cain! He is the one I will vote for!" When I said these TV personalities take a seed of truth and twist it, that is my opinion. Proof? Not really, I guess. Just years of life's experiences. They take things out of context and try to make it mean something else. I am generalizing here, I know. I could not say anything specific about that particular interview. Except, to read what our President said about deciding golf was not as important as the current events didn't sound anything like the way our posters made it sound.

Yes, I also read what Mc Cain said about being out of Iraq in 5 years. I said to my hubby, "He just clinched it! He will never win now! People want us out NOW, not in 5 years!" Well, just like the American Idols finals, we know the winner will be named David. We know our next president will be a Democrat
