This thread discusses the Content article: Bush drops refusal to talk about Iraq timetable

The idiotic and chief will surely create an artificial date that is after Jan. 2009. Surprised? Remember he is on record saying he was not going to worry about ending the war. He was going to leave that to the "other Presidents"! What a great American he is not!

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Bush wasn't going far enough. "After rejecting 18 months of attempts by the Democratic majority in Congress to adopt redeployment timetables, the president now proposes a vague general time horizon that falls far short of a commitment to ending our involvement in Iraq," she said.

Democratic Rep. William Delahunt of Massachusetts, who has led House hearings on the planned agreement with Iraq, said the "time horizon" cited by the White House was "very vague and nebulous." He also said the agreement taking shape seemed "far less grandiose than what was initially articulated."

Vague and nebulous? That's an understatement. There are several dictionary definitions of horizon, and the only one that pertains to the situation at hand is this one:

something that might be attained.

Something that might be attained. Whoopee. By that definition, $1 a gallon gas is "on the time horizon" as well.

The Palintologists look forward to the second coming of Sarah in the republican rapture of 2012, when they believe the mothership will come and take them all to the promised land.

The President has decided this only because the surge in troops he oversaw has brought us closer to victory.

Liberal nuts will not admit this nor see it.

Closer huh? So is it now 96 years instead of 100?

And just who would we be victorious against, Ray? Al Qaeda? They are in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The insurgents? Which ones, Sunni or Shiite? They'll both still be there, long after we are gone. That is why the future of Iraq is up to Iraqi's, not Americans.

Neo-conservative nuts will not admit this nor see it.
