As for the rest of your post, it's pretty reasonable, so I won't comment. We can agree to disagree. No one is going to convince anyone who has their heart set on any one thing to change their mind (be it politics, religion, or whatever), and it is usually futile to try.

I was responding to my post where I said McCain isn't my first choice and why that was. I didn't realize you were talkling about a different post. So if you now want to go back to a post where I said I don't like either canidate, OK. Just fill in the same reasons I gave, they work for both.

My heart isn't set for the rest of my life. That's why I read and try to understand different points of view. I'm realizing this is the absolute worst possible place to do that. If I differ, then the insults fly. Doesn't do anything for helping to understanding another person's point of view. Or to help myself better understand my own point of view.

The process will, if you work at it, help you to maintain your composure when others are verbally flogging you. That is invaluable in verbal competititon.

Come on eric. Look back to my first post. I was posting what I thought of the situation and what was being said by others (naysayers). Look at your first post. What issues were you talking about? You where more concerned with insulting me. Followed by your good friend that was condescending and rude again and again and again. But your really smart, so you say. Your trite comments are so understanding. I didn't make a "kool aid" comment until the bottom of the 3rd page of comments. Care to count the insults thrown at me.

You want to discuss issues fine. But you and your ilk really aren't interested in that, are you Eric. You're too busy calling me a bigot. How kind of you. So go ahead Eric, you've got a mouth, tell me how I'm a bigot. I can't wait.
