You know, the city could always put up parking meters, that's no different than having a parking permit. I do think that residents should not have to pay for their permits though.
I can understand the concerns of the residents. Obviously, not all those the may park there are causing problems but obviously enough did to merit a change.
More power to this young man in exercising his rights. Who knows what the outcome will be. Perhaps it will encourage more dialogue on the subject and a more equitable solution will be found.
