LDS Church excommunicates calendar maker 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: -62
This thread discusses the Content article: LDS Church excommunicates calendar maker

Frank E. Davie, the senior leader over a group of LDS church congregations in the Las Vegas area, confirmed the council's decision in a telephone call to The Associated Press. He declined further comment.

"The Brethren" at Temple Square don't have a problem accepting tithing money derived from occupational support of the Las Vegas vice industry!

But then again, Mammon is the god of Utah.

As he said the cult did the best thing for both of them. I agree 100%

Tch tch tch. Will you just look at those posts?! Some people are definitely struggling with deep-rooted religious hate issues, aren't they? [Laughing]

I'm sure most of us are smart enough not to bite the baloney Keeper and utocoman are selling, but just in case...

Please note that "The Brethren at Temple Square" do in fact accept tithing earned by people in honest occupations, even if they live in Las Vegas. The church does not, however, accept tithing from excommunicated members of the church. Nor does the LDS Church accept tithing on proceeds from gambling, including lottery winnings.

Apparently, that makes the Church a Mammon-grubbing cult in some people's eyes.

I don't know. I'd stick around to ponder that, but I'm off to my returned-missionary photo shoot.

And if you could please excuse utocoman and Keeper, they are late for a cross burning.

If you want to associate the cult with cross burnings I will not stand in your way! You may have inside info I am not privy to?

Utahconman/Blogan is/are a bitter ex mormon that has to see his ex wife and family continue on happy in the church from day to day while he is miserable. You can feel his anger here of the church.

From what the past article said this calender enterpretnuer wasn't active to begin with, just using the church for his own financial gain. Good for the church for ex'ing him, maybe now he'll start the reprentance process, you should to utahconman.
