Yes I did. The price dropped when he lifted the ban, but that does nothing as congress has to lift their moratorium as well. Bush did destabilize the middle east (Iraq war, Iran saber-rattling, etc.), driving prices higher. If his actions warrant praise for drops, they should also warrant shame for increases.

He warrants neither. The day of reckoning has come. We've been living on borrowed time with historically low energy costs. It hurts like hell, but it will hurt a lot more if we don't change our energy consumption ways. The markets are the most powerful cause for change. But that doesn't mean politicians won't use this to make hay, for their sheep.
