Dubbs is ignoring deliberately the point that when a prophet sins, he is punished and punished more harshly than others might be. Why? Because he has sinned agains the trust God placed on him.
Is not discerning a fraud a sin?
Is sinning an automatic excuse to throw all the Prophets words out?
Is their sinning mean their is not repetence for them and that we should not listen to them? (finger on chin) could this be a denying the HG?
Huh?
Did the brotheren,,who have the gift of discernment,,,Not listen to the prompting of the HG,,,resulting in the denial of said HG???? You know the big sin??? the Big one???? Just a question. Not bashing anyone hereNo Lovie Makeing an error or not discerning something is not the same as denying the Holy Ghost, Denying the HG is an unforgiveable sin, go read up on it at LDS.org And you claim to have taught gospel doctrine class and you don't know that?

No. I don't believe it is. But we were not limiting the conversation to that particular prophet.
Wren said discernment is telling the truth. So if that's the case any Prophet who fails to discern is lieing.
Limpy has it wrong again. I did not write "telling the truth", I wrote "truth telling". There is a huge difference. The first implies a lie, the second may or may not.
Come on, limpy, get it straight (oh, that was funny!)
Failing to hear the whisperings of the Holy Ghost has nothing to do with being a lie, your about as nutty as they come dude, and your logic is nonexistant.

Wren wrote: [b], but I am glad you made the admission they make errors and mistakes.
I've been saying their fallible from day one, one of the first posts I made was the below, course how would you know this, you don't read posts, but just concentrate on smary comments, and making comments with no proof.
Your latest two was your claim that Jeff Lindsay uses misinformation you couldn't prove, and that the church changed the orginal D&C as far as Moroni being the person Joseph spoke with. Typical angry inch.

Lovie wrote: Dubbs wrote: Fact remains, after all the deflection and illogical rantings of Jaye and Wren, the fact remains that it is scriptural reality that Prophets are not perfect, but that doesn't mean they are still not Prophets if they fail to discern a fraud. The Prophet Issac failed to discern that it wasn't his son who he gave the birthright blessing to, but he was still a Prophet.
The Prophet's of the LDS church have made mistakes in judgement, errors in opinion, but that doesn't negate them as Prophets. They still are.
No matter the rantings of anti nutjobs at HE.
out for the night.
The prophet Issac was old, blind and half dead when he gave away the birthrigh. whats your point?
I see you are not only not that bright in the spelling and language department, you also can't comphrehend what you read.
The Prophet Issac was a Prophet, no matter how old he was, according to Jaye and Wren's logic, he should have been able to "discern" the fraud attempt, he didn't.

With the notable exception of GBH, most of the LDS church's leaders since George Albert Smith have been zoned out the last part of their tenancies.
Hmmmm.
dang the guys in the picture, I've been seeing all day, don't fit that discription?
It still chaps my hide, when I think about those grown men, drooling over a peice of fader. Not just one I might add. But I promised not to bash the brotheren so I will quite there Huh? Anybody translate gibberish? "the guys in the picture" ? "drooling over a fader" ???
