Years ago, the development of the new highway forced a charming little cafe in the canyon-The Chalet-out of business. It was subsequently demolished. With the Bridal View Tram now part of canyon history forever, and with the canyon reduced to an over-traveled, dangerous and polluted speedway, one can't help but look back on things like the tram and The Chalet with nostalgia."Nostalgia" is how you will have to view this whole Utah Valley. In 10 to 20 year, our wonderful developers, and city planers, plan to bring 1 MILLION people here.
This should make you sick, It does me.
I don't travil Provo Canyon much any more. When I was a kid my grandfathe had a cabin in Vivin Park. The tram was an evey summer event. I miss it a lot. The whole canyon now, is a mess. Thanks Robert Redford
