It is my understanding that if a person comes in to a medical facility with a gun shot wound, the hospital has to contact the authorities to investigate it.

And if a patient enters with a drug overdose, particularly from illegals drugs, the authorities are again involved.

And if children or adults appear to have been the victims of domestic abuse, the authorities are contacted as well.

So why is it illegal aliens are allowed to leave unhampered after being treated without any involvement from the authorities?

There is a glaring double standard there.

I have all sorts of insurance, but frequently it refuses to cover whatever it is I get, deciding my disease or it's cure is experimental, prolonged, or simply too expensive to deal with, so they stop.

Do you think if I go down to Mexico, their hospitals will treat me for free, since I'm illegal, or vacationing?

I am a former ER social worker. Let me correct you on some misinformation. If someone comes in on a drug overdose the authorities are not called, no matter how severe. Nor are the police involved in a case of domestic violence with an adult unless the patient agrees to it.

I agree - you should try going to Mexico to get free medical care if you pose as an illegal alien. It would probably free for you. But remember, you get what you pay for.

I don't believe that the general public knows this well kept secret ~ anyway the citizens of this great country don't know this well kept secret, but illegal aliens have only ONE Medicaid benefit. That is if they have an emergency which require hospitalization, life or death...then the bill is paid fully by WE the generous tax payers of America. Now, if I, a US Citizen had an accident and had to be admitted to the hospital in a life or death situation and had no insurance, guess who pays for that?? You're right ~ ME for the rest of my freakin life!! That is why so many illegals use the ER as a clinic!! WE THE PEOPLE need to get OUR act together and let the politicians know that they will not be voted for another term if they continue to esteem those that have come here illegally, over their own citizenry! It is pitiful!

Well said! Personally, I believe ALLthose who have been in office for the past few years regardless if they are Republican or Democrat need to be voted out. They have proven they don't serve the people of this country. FIRE EM ALL!!

I wouldn't call that a benefit, more like the feds trying to keep the hospitals afloat. Sadly, hospitals cannot bill them, so the government has to bail them out, leaving illegals with free medical care.
