I feel relieved to read this article. And of course to read Arc's comments. Arc is as consistent as diarhea after drinking dirty water. Chaffetz could rob a liquor store and Arc would explain how he just saved people from the evils of alcohol. Arc would then further elaborate that 'he (Arc) used to be a Soviet style Democrat but now he's voting for Chaffetz because Chaffetz just saved the world by answering some emails Arc sent.' Face it Arc, you would drink Chaffetz' bath water.

And for all of the rhetoric (read: lies) that Chaffetz uttered to distance himself from Dukakis we now see they are very tight. Very close. They are buddies. And Dukakis goes further to elaborate that he sees himself as Chaffetz' mentor. Certainly how it reads to me.

Chaffetz tells us we need tents for 20 million illegal aliens.

Chaffetz then tells us we need to give visas to these same illegal aliens.

Chaffetz attacks Cannon for taking DC money.

Chaffetz sprints to DC right after the primary to get DC money. The same money he thrashed Cannon for taking.

Chaffetz is a con-man, liar and by all accounts is very liberal. Now we see he is in fact very close to Dukakis. Chalk this one up to lie number 847.

I do feel good about this story though. I have been right all along. When Chaffetz starts voting for big northeastern ubber liberal government, please don't whine. Remind us how Chaffetz and his buddy Dukakis just saved the world.

We do need someone that is willing to work with democrats. You don't have to vote for one to do that.

I've been drinking lots of water to get the painkillers down since you deep thinkers got Chaffetz elected.

I was one of those run of the mill conservative Republicans who was not thrilled with Cannon but didn't think he was the devil. Thought Leavitt the Younger would be little different than his run of the mill Democrat older brother Leavitt the Older. And found the tactics of the idiot right-wing unforgiveable during the passing of Cannon's daughter Rachael. We covered that point didn't we? You idiot right-wingers viciously attacked Cannon for ditching votes using his daughter as some screen to do so. Since then, I'd rather have a 3rd grader as a Congressman than the average anti-Cannon/pro-Chaffetz/anti-Hispanic crowd, which is generally about a 2nd grader mentality anyway.

I covered all that right? Just a refresher.

I must admit though, I've had other dealings with Chaffetz. I watched front row as almost every legislator in Utah asked Governor Huntsman to fire Chaffetz as Chief of Staff because he was horrible. I've seen this guy serve the public before and he really stunk at it.

So between the two (having my fill of you anti-Cannon/Hispanic types and having worked with Chaffetz before) I just have no patience for the guy.

I can't wait until he get's in office and votes to the left of Matheson. And he will vote for a number of anti-illegal aliens bills on the pro-amnesty side. Promise. It WILL happen. That is because Chaffetz only took the stand he did for votes. Not because he believed in it.

This is going to be a really fun 'I told you so' event. Right up until we start kicking Chaffetz out of office.

Are you thrilled that he has decided to fly "wingman" to Jeff Flake of Arizona? Mr Amnesty himself. Flake was even more brazen in his support of illegal aliens than Cannon. And out of 434 other members of Congress that is the first one Chaffetz wants to pal around with, I mean fly wingman to. And now he's going to dinner with Dukakis.

This is CLASSIC flip-flop'n fun!

So I suppose the Obama express can thank Dukakis as well? Grassroots is effective, apparently no matter which side is working it.
Thereitis: You hate chaffetz. Fine. But you are so stinkin' insulting to those of us who like him. What's up with that? I have a degree from BYU (a lot higher level education than a second-grader) and have been thinking for myself since I was oh, about 10. I am strong-willed, skeptical, generally distrust politicians but have to deal with them regularly and know that MOST are genuine people, who really care. I make my own decisions, thank you. I voted for Cannon in all previous elections, but this go around, it was clear that Jason was a far better choice. I also dealt with Jason when he was Huntsman's chief of staff and was impressed by his thoughtfulness, his efforts to understand something that was new to him and his reasoned approach to legislation. I also know a number of legislators supporting him in his bid for Congress - several of whom supported him well before the primary. They were all there 4 years ago and obviously have no distaste for the man.
So - vote for BS. You and Jesus can stand by your man. Chaffetz will win - and if he votes left of matheson, I'll be the first to be looking for someone to run against him in two years. Even Dukakis admits that they really have nothing in common politically (except for knowing how to run a kick-butt campaign).
