Former EM candidate sentenced to prisonJudge James Taylor had something personal in this to have departed so far from sound reasoning and common sense. Not even the state's attorneys recommended so harsh a sentence because Culbertson had cooperated on every level from the beginning. Murderers go to prison for less time! Others convicted of fraud, having taken significantly far more money, don't even go to jail let alone for 15yrs. Culbertson had already lost everything and his family is in desperate straits, but in Judge Taylor's "wisdom" he figured he and his family hadn't suffered anywhere near enough. What a tragedy! With such a capricious judge, perhaps a way can be found one day to replace personal emotion and vindictiveness in our judiciary.
