I wonder what the Afghan/Iraqi families of those killed by Americans think?

Many of these Iraqis, that you pretend to speak for, are grateful for American intervention. My kids who are serving over there talk to the people on the street. They know what the real sentiments are. Many of the Iraqis have family members that simply disappeared when Saddam was in charge and they will never know what happened to them.

Ted Kennedy has have walked a good path to the his concluding last steps of his earthly journey.

This convention brought back the memories of President John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X assignations and hundreds of thousands of American men and women along with Vietnamese citizens that gave up their innocence and / or their lives for speaking against an unjust war and standing up for peace and / or being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

War profiteers historically will do whatever it takes to keep their coffers full.

I pray daily that the Great Spirit resides with all of the United States Secret Service agents responsible for protecting Barack Obama and his family lives.

I will never forget Ted Kennedy's words as he spoke them at his brother's memorial.

"There is discrimination in this world and slavery and slaughter and starvation. Governments repress their people; millions are trapped in poverty while the nation grows rich and wealth is lavished on armaments everywhere. These are differing evils, but they are the common works of man. They reflect the imperfection of human justice, the inadequacy of human compassion, our lack of sensibility towards the suffering of our fellows. But we can perhaps remember -- even if only for a time -- that those who live with us are our brothers; that they share with us the same short moment of life; that they seek -- as we do -- nothing but the chance to live out their lives in purpose and happiness, winning what satisfaction and fulfillment they can.
