Is anyone else having problems with the spell-checker?  Whenever I correct a word, it combines the word with adjacent letters from neighboring words, or it runsthe misspelled word together with the corrected one, making it totally unreadable.

Yes, I am having this problem too - very annoying. I wonder what the Herald is doing on the backend to cause all these problems. From what I can see they need to test there changes better before they apply them to the "live" system. I use SMF for a forum at work and don't have as many problems as the Herald is having. Granted, the Herald's is a larger forum with more traffic, which would mean you test it more, but still is seems like a pretty solid forum system.

The online spell never worked for me, but I just figured it was other software installed on the computer. I use other programs to spell for me.

I think this site is excellent, I'm very impressed.

I did have an issue where I submitted a post and it told me that I already submitted it, I must have double clicked, yet I couldn't find my post, so I resubmitted it. - minor

You may think it was minor but when it keeps happening time and time again, especially after having written a long post, you'll get quite annoyed. Quite a few problems have surfaced, lately, yet no one seems to be doing anything about them.
