I understand that Mayor Anderson and Cindy Sheehan respect and honor those members of the American Legion who have sacrificed in wars of the past, I think.

Neither one of these individuals could care less about members of the American Legion.....in fact, Cindy is a "card carrying" Jew baiting, anti-Semite. And by association, I put the idiot Rocky in the same book.

Note; taken by David Duke and his ilk at their most recent recruiting website, NoWarForIsrael.com" " a point Duke concedes. On his August 14 web broadcast, the alleged plastic surgery aficionado read an e-mail Cindy Sheehan sent to the producer of Ted Koppels "Nightline," in which she wrote:

Quote from Cindy; "my first born was murdered. Am I angry? Yes, he was killed for lies and for a PNAC [Project for a New American Century] Neo-Con agenda to benefit Israel. My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel".

This is who the idiot, the Mayor of SLC has invited our city. He should be ashamed of himself, but I suspect he hates Jews almost as much as he hates the President so I doubt he has any shame at all.

bboss, I am willing to consider that being anti neo-con/supporting Israel as being anti-semitic, but you are going to have lay the logic out for me.

I am not being rude, not setting a trap for argument, but you are going to have to give evidence for your suggestion.

I was asked a concerning question the other day. "What is your political preference". What a question. I don't know if I am a Democrat, Republican, Liberal or what. If you look at the views and opinions of all of the parties, none of them seem to stick to their guns. Could someone hear help me figure out what I am?

I think abortion is OK under certain circumstances.

I believe the war against terrorism is justified. (Whether it is Iraq, Iran, Kuwait Etc.)

I believe there will be casualties of war but that is the price we pay for freedom.

I believe that all beer should be 6% and be sold on every day of the week.

I believe that most people are so unsure of their political views they don't know who to vote for.

I believe that all illegal immigrants should be sent back until they can be screened and given a work permit.

Does this help describe which political party I should be??
Any help would be great.

He had many, many people protest along side him.

Just as Rocky is protesting along side Sheehan.

Explain the difference.

I believe that you, like the rest of us, would benefit from more or zero political parties. By the way, some great beer has more (and some less) than 6%, the brewer should decide and clearly label the bottle.

You have got to be kidding me. Hatch an outstanding Utah citizen? He doesn't even come to Utah anymore. He'd prefer to spend more of his time on a boat in Mass. with the Kennedy family. I still like Bennett, but he made a huge mistake backing the President's amnesty bill.

There are rules in politics. In this situation, Rocky Anderson is breaking one of the biggest rules. He may not like Pres. Bush, and he is welcome to say that at any time, but to invite someone protest the President. Like it or not, that is just something you don't do. If you have enough influnce, you get someone else to do your dirty work for you. This will not win him any brownie points in the eyes of the people, even in Salt Lake. People may not like Bush, but there's enough that do like him, that won't forget Rocky's treason.

I live in Utah but outside the Salt Lake Area. I already liked Rocky, but this does earn him brownie points with me. I respect him not only for being opposed to Bush's policies and being active in the protest, but also for not doing the Republican thing and having a henchman do his dirty work as you've suggested. Rocky has some honesty and self-respect, unlike so many republicans who would have smeared a visiting Democrat while pretending to show respect publicly. It says something very negative about you that you would prefer appearance and deceit to honesty.

I too live in Utah but live in Utah Valley not Salt Lake City County.

And I also have respect for Mr. Rocky Anderson and not just because of his most recent controversial independent stand on giving a forum for a detractor of President Bushs Vet Nam type war, except worse from a ethical point of view, than Vet Nam.

It takes courage, especially in this culture to make decisions and act upon them from principles rather than from what looks appropriate. Mr. Anderson you have my support of prayers that your behaviors will become a norm rather than a lone man of integrity in a mass of mindless political wimp acting puppets.

But this is deceit. Rocky has invited someone to speak for him. This is all wrong. A Public Figure should never organize a rally against another Public Figure. This is just not the way things are done. It doesn't matter what side your on. If Rocky Anderson has wanted to put together a Forum on the Iraq war and invite Soldiers from the war, Some Generals, and Cindy Sheehan, so the public could hear both sides then that would have been okay. But for him to actively invite her to protest Pres. Bush is bad form for any politician. There are rules that you just don't break, and this is one of them. Rocky is a traitor, and will never win another political office in his lifetime. People want their politicians to be objective, not radical.

Have you ever seen a political campaign. Your logic is poor and I question your belief in the ideals this nation was built on.

I've worked on several political campaigns, and my logic is not flawed. I said that Rocky can say what he likes. And the electorate can vote to get rid of him to because of what he says. If Rocky wants to protest the President, than he should protest the President. He shouldn't be inviting anyone to do it for him. Even Martin Luther King Jr. understood this when he personally protested against the President at the time. He got people to join him, but he didn't have people protest for him. Rocky Anderson is a traitor, and will never be in Public Office again!

Do you even know what a traitor is?
Bush fits this definition better than Rocky. He has sold out his countries future for a poorly planned war and unneeded tax breaks. We will be paying for his offenses for some time, what is Rocky's action going to cost you?
