Woody - thank you for fighting the good fight!! It is unbelievable to me how these people believe the way they do!! What they don't realize is that they are the loud, obnoxious minority. Decisions are made at the ballot box and I think the voices of those who "say nothing" were heard the last few times around. Thank Goodness!!
When I signed up here, I had to check the box stating that I agreed with the "terms and conditions." I guess some people "forgot" that they are not supposed to post false or inaccurate information. Some people need to reevaluate as to whether or not they are abiding by those conditions. I see a lot of false and inaccurate "information" posted here. They certainly don't know their history and they are definitely not living in reality. But I didn't post this for their benefit.
I just wanted to thank you, Woody, for standing up for the things that are right and good in this country. And for representing so many of your fellow citizens who don't post on websites because they are busy doing other things until Election Day comes around.
Thank goodness for a man like GW Bush who is not afraid to do what is right rather than what is acceptable to the liberal wackos. Who has defined principles and abides by them. Who leads rather than basks in his "seat of power." Who has America's best interests in mind at all times rather than looking for "acceptance" and ways to "define his legacy."
Keep up the good work, Woody. It always makes my day to read your posts.
Keep up the good work, Woody. (Wink, wink). Looks like another of your relatives has access to your computer. Unless you have figured out how to use another email address. If you are going to pose as another person, Woody, at least make their stupid posts believable.

Hyperbole reigns supreme on the board again. The only poll that mattered in the last two years was the poll where President Bush was re-elected. Those who read the polls, and not the questions in the polls are being superficial. Those who feel that they truly are indicative of national sentiment must be informed that the poll is dependent on the questions, the interviewer and political bent of the organization/periodical taking the poll.
On another note, I am a survivor of the World Trade Center (23rd floor), and know that in my heart the support of terrorists by governments (Iraq, Saudia Arabia and others) should color our national policy and defense mandates. If the war with Iraq was solely for revenge (Saddam tried to kill GHW Bush) or oil (looked at the prices lately?), why aren't we in possession of the fields and why is Saddam still alive? Osama will be gotten, and then I'll feel a little more fulfilled on the "get back" side.

"Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson's attack on the character of President Bush must be an embarrassment to us all."
-Embarrasing to who? Depends on what other's views are. The majority of the country, who disapproves of the president's job, would be more embarrassed by our high approval rating of this guy.
"The honorable mayor's personal views are his own but do not represent the views of people of the state who strongly supported the president in the last election."
-No s* Sherlock, he is the MAYOR of a CITY, not the governor. They definately do represent the views of SLC however.
"Equally reprehensible is the mayor's seeming to align himself with the draft card and flag burners, border jumpers and demonstrators over the Vietnam war"
-huh?
What a disappointment this will be to our brave men and women fighting for the right of the good people of Iraq to live in a democracy and freedom they have never before known."
-that is if those good people of Iraq even live to see this so-called freedom they're apparently going to have. How many of them have been killed so far?
"Thank God for men like Bush who have the courage to stand against those who would destroy us, not only from without but also from within our own country."
-Bush=courage? I don't see him over there fighting. And wasn't he a draft dodger?
"Utah, who strives to cast an image of friendship and tolerance, deserves better representation, even from those who have opposing views"
-So if someone is ruining the country and doesn't care about it, we're still supposed to be nice and gentle to them? Please. If you mess with me or my family, you're going to get an earful. And this prez is definately messing with a lot of us.
"Any demonstration of disloyalty, distrust or anarchy is dangerous, unbecoming and does not belong in our great state."
-I think people who think this way are cowards. I hear O'Reilly say this too, but I don't know exactly HOW. Please explain, someone. I would say not being distrustful would be naive. I'd rather be distrustful than naive!
Quote from Thomas Jefferson: "when the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty."
Well spoken, what ever I could add would be deemed redundant. Thank You

I don't agree with Ross Anderson on many things, and I will not call him Rocky, his legal given name is Ross. But I do agree with him here in pretesting King George. I agree with the other posters in that Utah is the real embarrassment here. In a country that is really starting to despise Bush, (and I do believe these poll numbers.) Utah still continues to overwhelmingly still support this evil man. It sickens me to see such stupidity here in my state. The government is thouroughly corrupt, yet the people in Utah (those poll numbers again) still support it. I am utterly opposed to those that seek to take away my liberties and enslave me and everyone else in this country. Is it some tiny little country in the Middle East that is trying to do this with their "WMD's"? Of course not. I am not concerned about any of those tiny countries thousands of miles away doing us any real harm. Having said that, I still believe the Soviet Union and China are the biggest outside threat to us. then there is the invasion taking place at our southern border with all those criminal aliens coming over and trying to take the western US away from us and claim it for Mexico. To me the biggest threat comes not from without, it comes from within. Inside our own government. They are the ones taking away our liberties piece by piece and enslaving us with legislation. Yet most people put up with it and even support it, and the people that are taking it from us within our own state. Namely pretend Senator Hatch, pretend Senator Bennett, and Chris "amnesty" Cannon at the forefront. When are people going to wake up and stop supporting these traitors.
Again you have summarized the issue in a very accurate and excerpting manner of millions of Americans thoughts and feelings. Thank you

Truth 24 7, it seems that you are new on the block, so I will give my opinion about Woody and others like him on this forum, Woody is like a rabbid Dog hollering at the Moon after ripping his own guts out and blaming every one in disagreement with some of outlandish opinions for forcing him to defame himself. I advise you to be careful for this type of derangement spreads to the ill informed.

I am not sure where you live 24-7, but a few things you should know. Eric in Miami is the biggest bush hater of all. He has nothing of importance to say, so he will shower you with small childish slams. Almost laughable are he's replies. He lives 3,000 miles away in one of the nicest places in America and he sits in a closet with a computer letting everyone know how stupid he thinks they are. Medicine Man , well he just hates the government completely. No matter who was president, he would hate them. Why? Because in his hearts of hearts he wishes he was a true Indian. He loves the peyote and the feds took it away from him. Ohhh blowhard Typhoon, he is a little radical and lives in a completely different world than most. He spouts stats and polls and most of them come from his butt. There are a few that actually have points about President Bush and some of them are very good ones. These are the people who you can actually talk with. The rest are just baby killing liberals who rant rave and then resort to elementary school comments. What I find the most interesting about them is the fact that they are lumped in the same group as Rocky Anderson, Cindy Sheehan, Mikey Moore and that never seems to deter their way of thinking.
