Woody, you seem very comfortable calling liberals "baby killers." Very convenient that you're doing so from the cover and anonymity of a computer. Say that sh*t to my face, and we'd have a problem. Let me just say you're very lucky that you don't know me.
As for Rocky protesting Bush, I think it's fantastic. Bush is the lowest form of pond scum that I've had the misfortune to live under in my 28 years. Anderson actually has a conscience, that's why he feels it necessary to speak up. To speak up for the 100,000+ Iraqis that have been victims of Bush's murderous campaign. Woody talks about how he hates liberals and their baby-killing ways. I guess he prefers Bush who kills men, women, and children. Equal opportunity. How anybody could, in this day and age, support Bush is beyond belief. He's running this country, Iraq, and the earth into the ground and the bulk of Utahns raise their collective hand and ask "what can I do to help?" This coming from a "God-fearing" people. Oh, the hypocrisy. My head is starting to hurt. I'd better stop.
Having fun reading the lies on the loony left wing blog sites? I read Anderson's column in the Tribune on Sunday....after the third or fourth outright lie, I had to quit. Now you get to parrot the lies...you and your lying military hating, Bush bashing crowd are lower than pond scum. The hypocrisy far left is vomitous. After the second or third condescending "brave American soldiers" in Rocky's column, I wanted to vomit. I'll be at Rocky's "protest" just to support those Americans that have a semblense of respect to our country. You don't, and neither does that idiot, Rocky or you wouldn't spew out those lies about the President and by proxy, American soldiers.
BTW: Mr Worldly with your vast knowledge and experience, I have a callous on my foot older than 28 years old.
Hey Boss,
you are a typical conservative drone. Your logic is faulty and your arguments are pitiful. Face it. You backed the wrong horse. Bush is a murderer. He kills people with impunity and you support him. He pollutes the environment and you say "how can I contribute?" He gives tax breaks to the very rich to which you respond "I love you, give it to me harder."
Your criticisms are amusing to me. You call liberals "vomitous" (is that even a word?) You say we lie. We hate the military, and so on. Well, your Karl Rove-like attacks won't work on me. You see, anyone with half a brain (sorry boss) can see that Bush is a despot. Calling me names won't change that reality.
So, go on living in your fantasy world, where Bush is righteous and good, and the war in Iraq is just. If that helps you sleep at night, by all means do it. But, don't think for one second that those of us with consciences will stand idly by while atrocities are being carried out by this regime.
BTW: I was born and raised in a New York ghetto and have seen plenty in my short 28 year life. So please, don't patronize me.

"As for Senator Orrin Hatch and Robert Bennett from my perspective they are outstanding Utah Citizens advocates."
You have got to be kidding me. Hatch an outstanding Utah citizen? He doesn't even come to Utah anymore. He'd prefer to spend more of his time on a boat in Mass. with the Kennedy family. I still like Bennett, but he made a huge mistake backing the President's amnesty bill.
There are rules in politics. In this situation, Rocky Anderson is breaking one of the biggest rules. He may not like Pres. Bush, and he is welcome to say that at any time, but to invite someone protest the President. Like it or not, that is just something you don't do. If you have enough influnce, you get someone else to do your dirty work for you. This will not win him any brownie points in the eyes of the people, even in Salt Lake. People may not like Bush, but there's enough that do like him, that won't forget Rocky's treason.

I understand that Mayor Anderson and Cindy Sheehan respect and honor those members of the American Legion who have sacrificed in wars of the past, I think.
Neither one of these individuals could care less about members of the American Legion.....in fact, Cindy is a "card carrying" Jew baiting, anti-Semite. And by association, I put the idiot Rocky in the same book.
Note; taken by David Duke and his ilk at their most recent recruiting website, NoWarForIsrael.com" " a point Duke concedes. On his August 14 web broadcast, the alleged plastic surgery aficionado read an e-mail Cindy Sheehan sent to the producer of Ted Koppels "Nightline," in which she wrote:
Quote from Cindy; "my first born was murdered. Am I angry? Yes, he was killed for lies and for a PNAC [Project for a New American Century] Neo-Con agenda to benefit Israel. My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel".
This is who the idiot, the Mayor of SLC has invited our city. He should be ashamed of himself, but I suspect he hates Jews almost as much as he hates the President so I doubt he has any shame at all.
BBBoss, Do you have any evidence that Sheehan is anti-semitic? The statement that you've given makes that a possibility but doesn't necessarily suggest it. There is a difference between not wanting her son to die to protect another country that she feels has too much influence on our foreign policy and hating people of a certain religion and descent. She could as easily be a Nationalist with isolationist tendencies. Conservatives, in both the US and Israel, often seem to have a difficult time recognizing that people can dislike a government (it is not even clear from her statement that this is true, but there is a weak implication) and not dislike the people of that government. Believe it or not, but I actually expect better from you. Now dredge up something suggesting she is actually anti-semitic or drop it (and post a correction if you'd like).

I live in Utah but outside the Salt Lake Area. I already liked Rocky, but this does earn him brownie points with me. I respect him not only for being opposed to Bush's policies and being active in the protest, but also for not doing the Republican thing and having a henchman do his dirty work as you've suggested. Rocky has some honesty and self-respect, unlike so many republicans who would have smeared a visiting Democrat while pretending to show respect publicly. It says something very negative about you that you would prefer appearance and deceit to honesty.

But this is deceit. Rocky has invited someone to speak for him. This is all wrong. A Public Figure should never organize a rally against another Public Figure. This is just not the way things are done. It doesn't matter what side your on. If Rocky Anderson has wanted to put together a Forum on the Iraq war and invite Soldiers from the war, Some Generals, and Cindy Sheehan, so the public could hear both sides then that would have been okay. But for him to actively invite her to protest Pres. Bush is bad form for any politician. There are rules that you just don't break, and this is one of them. Rocky is a traitor, and will never win another political office in his lifetime. People want their politicians to be objective, not radical.
