As long as the child is his son he should have the right to raise him.

If the father is committed to his child's welfare, the "emotional trauma" will be mitigated.

I have three of my own. When did the father know that he was a father? Was he immediately given the opportunity to shoulder his duties? How do we know that the father's parents won't be anything but outstanding nurturers and supporters of this little family?

And shame on the LDS Social Services who have pulled these types of shenanigans repeatedly. I agree with HM that the agency must pay attorney's fees and foot the bill for a new adoption for the grieving adoptive mother.
