The public has a right to all the facts about an ongoing investigation? I wasn't aware of that right. Seems the public is rarely informed in detail about ongoing investigations.
But I guess it is easier to write up a letter like this and jump to conclusions than to actually ask the people in the know about why they felt the cover-up was necessary...if in fact it was so strictly a cover-up, which I don't know anyone in authority having stated in so many words (please point out if I'm wrong).
Oh, that's right! There's no difference between lying to and deceiving interrogated suspects and public communications in this day and age. Everyone is a potential terrorist under Section 802 of the Patriot Act. (Thank you Chris Cannon!)
