Deepest condolences to the family, fiance, and friends of this soldier. We've been seeing this too often lately...soldiers being killed while on their third and fourth tour.

It is a sad state of affairs that this war has gone on long enough for a soldier to even accumulate four tours, and for a military that is stretched so thin that it even allows it.

And still no end in sight.

Typical media hype to make this death into a political thing. It is sad he died, but he died defending your family against Muslims. Celebrate that you don't live under Muslim control for one day instead of turning this into a anti-war Dem puff piece.

All truth said was TRUE. No media hype.......
There is NO GOOD REASON, these guys should have to do 3 and 4 tours.....We just lost a young father in my area and it was his 4th tour....BUT his kids have the flag that draped his casket to remember him by........ AND HIS MEDALS.. THANKS PRESIDENT BUSH

My condolences to the family and fiancee and friends also..

NO GOOD REASON? How about this one, perhaps this troops death ensured your grandson someday has to drop to his knees and pray to Mecca five times a day in the future. Is that a GOOD REASON for you?

What an ignorant comment.

No insult, Ray-boy. I meant it, and I am sure others are wondering the same thing. Were you born an idiot, or has life made you that way?

As an example, perhaps you can drop the fallen soldiers family a line and say, lets' see, what was it you posted on the "U.S. missile strike kills al-Qaida leader in Somalia" thread? Ah, here it is, emphasis (bolding) added.

Look, the military, God Bless Everyone, attracts a certain crowd. They don't take AP science. They don't go on missions. They sleep thru HS. And many times they do like the vagabond style because they see the world without having to pay to see it.

Yes, send the family a letter and tell them you appreciate their loved one doing those things you name above, Ray. Fill the pages with more of your bigotry and lack of intelligence, Ray-boy.

Every member in the military knows their place, they know they volunteered, the know they need to follow the President and not defeatists like you ready to bend your knee toward Mecca five times a day.

Another ignorant comment.

Another ignorant comment.

Add something then, Birdman. You want out military to be defeated in Iraq so Muslims rule America? Do you? Didn't everyone in Iraq volunteer to protect my family, and ever yours Liberal Defeatist?

You truly do not understand. Amazing. We are fully capable of defending the country without continuing a zero-sum war in Iraq.

We are not going to defeat the bad guys there.

Bush did it on the cheap, with bad intelligence, with undersized forces against his leading general's advice, and without a plan to win the peace.

The future of Iraq will be settled by Iraqis, not us or our troops. You cannot refute any of my points, so you name call instead. How impressive!

Yet this young soldier chose to make the military his career...and he CHOSE to re-up for every tour he served.
