Congratulations to Jason Chaffetz for earning more than 60% of the legal delegate vote at the convention, which, had the rules of the party been properly enforced, (which will never happen as long as Stan Lockhart is chair and as long as he appoints Senator Curt Bramble to chair the credentials committee), would have been enough for a knock-out win.

Condolences to Jason Chaffetz for being robbed by the same illegal delegate racket that robbed as many as four candidates in the Utah County Republican Convention two weeks ago.

Congratulations to the delegates in Congressional District 3 for not being fooled by David Leavitt's stalking horse candidacy to deny Chaffetz the nomination in tag-team combination with Chris Cannon.

It's time for all of us who simply won't tolerate status quo any longer 1) to step up to help Jason overcome the onslaught of PAC money that comes from all directions due to Cannon's support of trade and immigration policies that facilitate outsourcing and the influx of illegal immigrants that are putting so much pressure on middle class Americans; and 2) to get rid of this insanely corrupt convention system that denies Utahns any say in how their government is run.

If Mike Ridgway is supporting Chaffetz - he's not for me. Is this the same Ridgway that gets arrested for making a scene ever time he's at a convention? Is this the same Ridgway who was ousted by the Republican Party?

Candidates like Chaffetz only marginalize the Republicans. I hope that people can see through this nonsense.

Cannon and Leavitt later marched around the floor together shaking hands with delegates, which drew loud boos from many in the crowd.

Obviously the devil made Leavitt do it!

The voters should be glad that Leavitt has revealed himself to be just another Cannon clone.

Wouldn't the voters love to know what political reward Cannon promised Leavitt in return for those delegates switching sides should Cannon win in November?

Hopefully Cannon will get his walking papers at the primaries.
