All because so called Americans think it is cool to buy a German or Japanese auto instead of supporting the American worker. You do realize many "American" cars are made in Mexico and Canada, whereas Honda, Nissan, and Toyota all maintain factories here in the US right? In fact, the Toyota Tundra pickup is made in Texas, and by buying one, you are providing jobs for Americans. However, Venezuela makes Ford Explorers, and Mexico makes Ford Fusions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ford_factories

When Keeper gets out of jail he is going to have a hayday with this comment...What is interesting is that the Japanese car companies are doing fine without unions too here in the US. The UAW approached the workers at the factories, but were not warmly received. They provide great pay and benefits, while GM and Ford are trimming everything. The Prius is build in Mississippi, and the Focus in Mexico. There are plenty of examples like that.

Wrong yet again. The Prius won't be built in Mississippi until 2010. All Prius now are built in the Land of the Rising Sun.
