Officially the LDS church takes a position of political neutrality. It doesn't endorse candidates or political parties, but does weigh in on issues considered morally important.

That's what happens when a church says, "Please Mr. Caesar, I'd like a license to be a Christian." And with that 501(c)(3) you get a free muzzle.
